Rated 1 out of 5 by from High Hopes I had looked into purchasing the Eos 1p when this newer model came out. I was looking forward to the same style tent but with more head room. Unfortunately on setting the tent up in my living room the head pole snapped in two. Sadly the thing i liked about this tent, the extra width provided by the head pole and mid tent horizontal pole are it's biggest weaknesses. For some reason the plastic pieces used to attach the mid pole and head pole to the spine are place between two pole sections such that the two pole sections no longer touch. This seems to make the piece that joins the two pole pieces together the week point. First time in 25 years I've had a pole break. Everything else about this tent was as good as I expected. Perhaps it was just a manufacturing flaw in mine. Thankfully it was purchased at a place that would take the return. The EOS may be narrower when sitting up but it looks like it is a much simpler design with less weak points in the pole structure. Hopefully it works out better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Leading stealth solo tent The high-value features of the Force 1P include leading internal zonal space, light weight and small pack size. The head end hoop pole has a pole junction directly over a pole join, so I think it's a MUST to push the plastic junction piece to one side. This avoid the documented pole break issue! Then it's all good. Setting up in the dark is stress free! The Force 1P is suitable for comfortable STEALTH camping. Marmot has definitely innovated here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, light, and great tent!! Bought this last year, so I've had a chance to use it for about 5-6 outings. This tent is super light! And very easy to set up. I actually set it up after dusk on 2 occasions. Only encountered rain on one occasion, and had no issue. Did need to bring a few extra stakes for the rain fly, these did not come with tent. Solid tent, good for bike camping and backpacking (these are my uses). I receive lots of compliments on the aesthetics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight, easy to set up and plenty of room I've used my Force 1P in Fall, Spring and Summer. I even used this tent for a couple winter bike trips. Set up is so easy (everything is color coded!!!) even in the dark when you are cold and not quite "all there"! It's very spacious and the vestibule has plenty of room to keep other gear outside the tent but out of the rain. This tent is also very compact-able.
