The exterior features a waterproof, wind-resistant shell for those stormy, precipitous occasions. The inner jacket features lightweight insulation and an Omni-Heat reflective liner that retains body heat for longer without any added bulk. With its smooth, water-resistant face fabric, the inner jacket is great for cool weather hiking and even those bluebird ski days. Zip the two layers together for full winter protection.

Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective
Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.
The waterproof, windproof and breathable technology for getting outdoors in wet and windy conditions. Your body heat escapes while rain can't come inside. Sorta magical, but mostly just science.

The best winter jacket![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the best winter coats - on average they last me 3 to 4 years really easily. The lining is great to wear solo on cold days (20 degrees F or warmer) while the outer layer is perfect for warm, wet days (40s or warmer). But both layers together? Well, I live in a place where it routinely gets down to -15 F (or colder) in the mornings and I've never been cold!
Pro tip, though - if you're a girl who enjoys makeup, do not get one with a white lining/inner layer. Your makeup will slowly stain the white over time and you'll be sad. That was actually the only reason why I needed to replace my last whirlibird!

An excellent 3 in 1 jacket[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product looks amazing and is a little heavy when you wear both the jackets together. I have Dark plum crossdye.
The quilted jacket on the inside fits perfectly and can be used by itself as a winter jacket. Also it is such a beautiful color with Omni heat technology. It feels super warm and comfy.
The rain jacket on the outside is dark plum and it fits a tad loose given that it needs to accommodate a quilted jacket on the inside. I do not mind that it is a little roomy and it works for me on a everyday basis as a rain jacket as well.
I love that this jacket solved my need for layering in one shot!

Montana Winters Ain’t Got Nothin’ On This Jacket[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coat! I bought it for myself as an early Christmas gift! My partner bought a similar jacket with Omniheat last year and encouraged me to try one because I’m always cold! It’s so toasty, but still comfortable and easy to move around in! It’s going to be perfect for skiing, snowshoeing, or just out and about in those cold Montana winter months.
I decided to order a size large, when typically I wear a medium. I’m glad I went with the large, as I do have room for a thicker sweater, vest, or fleece if I really need to layer up. I also love all of the zippered pockets in handy places!

I love this coat![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a 3 in 1 coat from Columbia last year and it was by far the best coat I ever owned. I hate being cold but I don’t want to roast either. The 3 in 1 coat with Omni Heat was the answer! With both components zipped together I kept warm even on the coldest, nastiest days. When the days got a little warmer the liner was the perfect weight. But alas, I went on a diet and lost weight and my wonderful coat was too big. What to do? Order another one in a smaller size! I do not want winter to get here but when it does I’ve got a way to stay warm!

Keeps me warm and stylish! For reference, I have been using this jacket for Pittsburgh winters and not for any snow sports. I bought the color Dark Nocturnal Folk Blur and I like how it looks different from the standard jacket colors of black, brown, and red. I also like how you can use separate the jackets (e.g., I can wear both outside but then wear the inner jacket at work). The jacket also does a wonderful job at repelling snow/rain. I bought this in large and it fit perfectly. Here are my measurements for reference:
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 170 lbs
Bra size: 38B
Body type: Pear-shaped

Not Quite as Warm as I expected[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My size is between large and extra large so I am always unsure what size to get. I decided to go with the extra large to have room for layering, but found the jacket pretty tight. Kept it as I didn't want to pay for the return. I've been wearing it in very cold weather here in New England (in the teens) and finding it not quite as warm as I expected given the layers, and a little less windproof than I'd hoped (I'd hoped for better on the windproofing as I'm heading soon it Iceland). However, on a typical winter day in the 30's, it works well; in fact the bottom layer is sufficient if there's not wind. Love the color and style, just wish it was a bit warmer and larger.

Sizing is off - tight in arms[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing a Columbia coat for many years, and was happy with the quality and durability. After such long use, the zipper began to be fussy and I considered getting a new coat, and while I was at it go from a 1x to a 2 for a little extra room. I normally wear a 2x in every other plus size so ordered a 2x in this style and several others. The sleeves and back were all too tight compared to my old coat! The 2x would zip, but it was tight through the chest, shoulders, and arms. The sleeves were short, the coat did not cover the hips or butt, and the range of motion nil. No way I could ski in this. Very disappointed. I did try a 3x and that was still tight in the arms. Women who are plus are plus all over.

Great jacket![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is awesome! I have had Columbia jackets and winter coats my whole life and the quality and functionality are fantastic! I bought this one as a replacement coat for my previous winter jacket as that one had gotten slightly too snug for me to wear comfortably. I love the Omni Tech fabric and Omni Heat features and that this jacket has multiple layers for extra warmth when it is colder out. I got it in Dark Nocturnal Sparkler print and it is very flattering both color wise and fits great! I even have enough room to comfortably layer a with a sweatshirt if I want. I definitely recommend this jacket and look forward to many years of wearing it!
