Rated 5 out of 5 by from very tough, responsive retired my first pair after 510 miles (150 on concrete) with tons of life. replaced the insole with a super soft and now use them as daily walkers. the outer is very durable and somewhat water resistant, the tread is amazingly grippy yet long lasting. the response is also amazing. i run 10-20 miles at a time on all imaginable surfaces and my feet feel great during and after runs. combined with sealskinz they are great snow runners too, although ive recently switch to icebugs (studded) for icy trails. only gripe ive got with the peregrine 11 is they dont breathe well so i got some tr2s to wear during summer. im already 52 miles into my 2nd pair of peregrines and picking out a 3rd pair

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect at nothing, great at everything! I use these shoes for training and ultramarathons. They are good or great at everything, perfect at nothing. They serve well in wet, rocky, dry, gravel, dirt. They only place they have not performed well is in sand (air vents on bottom allow very small grains to work their way through as I found out on trails outside of St. George). I have used many shoes and more expensive shoes than peregrines, and peregrines have tested on 35 trail races over the past 4 years (I’ve owned many pair) and thousands of miles, and hundreds of thousands of gain and descent. Salomon is way better looking, and for me not as good. Altra zero drop is not for me, Brooks and others, just never perform like peregrines. Tried and true. Comfortable to the end. Traction system great until they wear down, then need to be replaced quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost a perfect shoe! I’m an avid trail runner and love this shoe! To start, the design is one of the coolest trail shoes I’ve had although that is not the best reason to buy trail shoes as a runner. Ultimately, this is the most comfortable shoe in every way and has allowed me to take on rugged mountain runs 20 miles and beyond. The only setback is that I get blisters on my heel at the top of the shoe back. I am able to take care of the issue by using athletic tape which is super cheap and not a big deal. The Peregrine ISO model never gave me that problem. If they could modify the 11 to have the same heel as the iso it would be a perfect trail shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The utterly boring new Peregrine 11 I can not review these shoes based on wearing them because I have only tried them on inside to insure the fit was okay. I debated for some time regarding returning them but opted to keep them based on my earlier experience with the Peregrine model. I hope I have not made a mistake. They just don't have much design snap and the footprint of the sole appeared to be slightly (2-4mm) narrower than my older ones. I plan to get some new laces to improve the look a bit. I know that performance is the primary feature I am looking for but don't think it too much to ask for a bit of form to go with that function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peregrines vs. Potawatomi 200 I alternated through four pair of Peregrine 11s during my 200 miler at Potawatomi Trail Races. Two were brand new and two had about 200 miles on them already. I started in the two new pair and then swapped to the used ones in case I needed to cut out the sides due to swelling. I finished the race and couldn't be happier with my performance or that of my shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, responsive I’ve had Peregrines in the past, and these are a bit softer feeling without sacrificing the speed or responsiveness. Traction is excellent, as always, and the new neon color scheme is rad. Toe box is generous for more square-shaped feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit I've had these for a few months and got them because I'd heard they were a good shoe for wide feet and for fitting a custom orthotic in (because you can remove both layers of insole). I use them for hiking the PNW with slick rocks and roots and they have excellent traction and good support (for a trail runner). The only downside is that they are so permeable to keep running feet cool/dry that my toes get wet while puddling, but that's not a flaw, just the type of shoe. I really wish the Gore-tex version was also made for Wide feet. I'd buy them right away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expand the Toe Box Great traction, weight and trail feel, but even the wides are too tight across the front of the foot. Expand the toebox and you will have a winner.
