Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket This is a great jacket and feels nice and toastie with the plush lining. I am 5'2" and 115 lb. I always wear a size xs in North Face but In this jacket I sized up to a small as it comes in at the waist a bit more than the regular jackets. I have lots of room to wear a layer underneath. The sleeves are a touch long on me but I don't feel they detract from the overall awesomeness of the jacket. The botanical green colour is really lovely (looks like emerald green) and it seems to be waterproof as I have worn it in both the rain and snow. I highly recommend this jacket if you're like me and tend to get cold a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practicality Meets Style and Comfort This coat is everything a winter coat should be. It is simple and stylish. I'm a small woman (5ft tall), so I ordered a S. Because I'm muscular, the S was restrictive for movement. I exchanged for a M which fits perfectly. While the zipper is tricky to master (honestly not sure why they designedly it to be a bi-directional zipper), every other feature on this coat is excellently crafted. There is a flap on the back side to cover your bum, and the inside of the coat is made of a velvety material. Additionally, the coat is not as feminine as other women's coats, which I appreciated, but it also still has a cinched waist which looks less blocky than a male coat. Overall, excellent coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Coat!! This coat is so comfy. I'm really glad I got it. I live in an area where it gets very cold in winter, and I think it's going to keep me nice, and toasty this winter. The thing I like best about it, is the fact that It keeps me warm, but while wearing it I don't feel like a marshmallow man that can barley move. The only negative I have is the zipper is a bit tricky to zip. It's not the zipper for someone in a hurry. However, I think over time the fabric aro d the zipper will give a little more making it easier to zip. Over all- an amazing coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is so cozy and warm This parka is truly toastie as the name suggests. This is the perfect parka to wear in wet, snowy weather -- it will keep you warm since it is down-filled but you don't have to worry about getting your down all wet since the shell is waterproof plus it is figure flattering. One big plus also is that the hood isn't detachable so it always stays in place plus it is fleece lined which keeps your head warm. Such a great, practical everyday parka.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lives up to the name well! I'm from Michigan and moved to Wisconsin for school and decided to buy this coat as a new winter coat and ski coat for the upcoming season. This coat is great for walking around campus in the cold and windy weather that I'm readjusting to as the season begins. The zipper is tricky, but once it's on, it keeps you warm in any winter weather. The length is perfect and the darting on the back of the waist makes it look stylish and not too bulky! I love this coat and have no doubt it will keep me warm for the next 4 years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! I live in NC and love this jacket! Probably a little heavier than is necessary but I hate being cold and I love that this jacket keeps me plenty warm! When I'm running errands, getting my baby in and out of the car seat I don't need any layers, this is so warm. It feels like it runs a touch small, but I am very happy with this jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm at the cost of appearance and fit A nice looking parka in the photo arrived promptly, well packaged but was too small even though I have never ever worn bigger than a large in any coat. My old Northface parka is a large and roomy. I looked in this one in white one like a big mound of snow! I'm sure it was warm enough and it was certainly well constructed, but when I looked in the mirror I was convulsed with laughter. Next time navy or black! I have returned it and will get another style, but of course stay with Northface, the brand I have trusted for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Invincible Jacket! I just braved arctic temperatures in Iceland with this jacket and it felt like I was walking around with my own heated personal quilt wrapped around my body. The best investment I've ever made! HIGHLY recommend

What’s the cold rating for this coat? Good for New York winter?

Asked by: Rhonda77
Hello! Thank you for reaching out! After taking a look at this jacket, it was found that a temperature rating was not performed, and can be highly subjective depending on the activities that you plan on using this jacket for. Fortunately, this jacket uses 550 down insulation, as well as 120g of Heatseeker insulation technology which should help this excel in most cold climates. Hopefully this helps!
