Good shoe, but not for me...[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for a cushion-y, not too technical trail shoe. The cushion part was fantastic. I love the colors; it's a great-looking shoe. I liked the super-specific sizing that seems much more accurate than the US whole and half sizes. The reason that I sent them back was that the fit was extremely narrow, apparently a european thing, and from what I read, la sportiva running shoes are meant to fit very close to the foot. This was too much of an adjustment for me and the type of running shoe that I'm used to, in which I typically get a half size larger than my street shoe size.

Great lightweight running shoes!I've worn these twice this week on routes where I ran a mix of pavement and dirt trail. One of the things I first noticed was how incredibly lightweight these shoes are-the lightest pair of trail shoes I own. My foot is not wide, and these are super comfortable. I like the color (Clay/Hibiscus) and they have great traction. Because I'm prone to spraining my ankle, I wouldn't wear these on highly technical rocky trails (I wear the LaSpo Ultra Raptor), but I do love them for less technical runs. I think they'd make great race shoes as they are so lightweight.

Blister city[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the lightweight design, the soles etc. In the house they seemed very comfortable. Unfortunately first day out I got a horrible blister of my inner heel (first shoe that has done this in my entire life!), and outside of big toes rubbed too. Also - I have only taken these out twice but the sole is already peeling a little from the toe. I am mostly upset I can't return these for store credit!!! I did not know that shoes were totally not returnable if worn but no way to know until you run in them!

Bring back the Helio II designPlease, please, please bring back the features of the helio II. They are the only trail shoe I have been able to run in for 4 years... I was hopeful for the III but the changes are not good for me. The back of the shoe has way less padding on the Achilles area and I have gotten awful pain from them on all of my runs trying to work them into my rotation. Also the tongue of the shoe is much thinner at the top and almost sharp, even with tall socks it cuts into the front of the ankel. The quick lace system is also gone on this new model... something I loved about the IIs. The shoe is also much narrower than the previous ones and runs big as well compared to the last model. I do not mean to bash the new design, but I hope it saves some people from being so disappointed after loving the previous model so much. I have been scouring the internet and stores trying to find the previous model bow because I do not see me being able to race and distance in these new shoes. I love your products and just hope that enough feedback comes in to go back to the previous design!!!

Versatility, Comfort, Traction[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd pair of the Helios III. Really amazing shoe. I am an avid La Sportiva fan. Been wearing this brand for 12 years. I have had to transition from the Bushidos to the Hilos, as they offer more cushion for my repeat foot issues(planters). I mostly trail run, but these offer comfort on black top pavement also. For me they run true to size. I wear a size 7 and that's what works for me. Light weight and a super gripping system.

Not a Great Fit[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ended up returning these shoes because the fit wasn’t right. They seem to run a little bigger than other La Sportiva models, and the toe box was a little narrow for me. Perhaps a half size down would have been the right length, but still likely would have pinched in the toe box area. However, the amount of cushion seemed perfect and the tread was really grippy.

Prefer the earlier modelsI’ve been running in the Helios for about ten years and was dismayed when they briefly disappeared from the sportiva lineup. This model has a more rigid/stiff heal. I preferred the previous style that generally felt softer. I also preferred the quick lace system on the older model. Other than that, still an excellent shoe- great for most trails and pavement.

Ortholite cushioning is outstanding[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Helios III is the best Helios yet. I have used La Sportiva for 10 years of running and Helios III is the lightest, most flexible, and yet most cushioned model yet. Despite the light weight they a plenty stable. Also the return to tying lace from a "buckle" lace on earlier model is much appreciated.
