Rated 1 out of 5 by from No...No...No... I really wanted to love these shoes. They are by far the best looking Alras I've seen. First they are super narrow. My foot was hanging off the shoe. Now let's talk about the terrible midsole. This is not a quantic midsole, it's hard as a rock. Originally I thought maybe I got fakes, so I ordered a pair from Altra. Both shoes felt exactly the same, terrible. I tried to break them in by wearing them to work. Twelve hours later my feet hated me. Altra don't try to be anyone else. Please quickly update this shoe, and make it how it should be made. I've settled on the superior which is a million times better.P.S. please hurry with update

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Timp 2 My "go to" shoe This is my all around go to shoe. I originally purchased TIMP 1.5's over a year ago - and they were great - but just not enough under my foot. A little to skimpy on the foot bed. I felt every rock on the trail. They've increase the cushion on the TIMP 2 and it's now my perfect shoe. I hike 8-10 miles 2x a week, and at least 3 miles the rest of the days. No complaints. They're so great that I've just ordered a second pair to wear around the house. (Foot issues so that I can't go bear foot for an extended period of time.) I agree with others - I normally wear a 7 to a 7.5 (my TIMP 1.5's were 7.5) but with the TIMP 2's I had to order an 8. Good luck in your decision.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nothing like the Timp 1.5 - Unfortunately I loved the Timp 1.5!! Such a cushy ride! The toe box was roomy and perfect! They are my go to shoes without a doubt! So, ordered the Timp 2.0 this year. I am so disappointed. I seldom take the time to write reviews, but this time I felt I needed to. The 2.0 is not nearly as comfortable...they feel hard and not roomy enough in the toe box. I used them for a week, and have relegated them to the back of the closet. It's a lot of money...Altra is usually worth it...but not this time. Please bring back the Timp 1.5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Switched shoe brands and not going back! I am an avid runner and I have been dedicated to Asics. However, that's all changed after I wore this shoe on a training trail run. It is light weight which blew my mind. I'd that it would be a clunky shoe given the size of the sole, but not at all. The shoe encourages your foot strike to be midsole to toe. I just relaxed my stride and could feel the natural push of the shoe into the midsole to toe strike. It ripped and gripped the trail. The trail I was on had ferrel hog damage (rooted up earth) and several downed trees from a recent tornado. I did not turn my ankle once or slide while trying to navigate over tree trunks. When the trail rut was deep, I easily went side to side with out worry of my feet slipping. Light weight, flexible, great tread. I have a new shoe!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heal rubs Generally a good shoe, love the shape, the sole etc. The only thing that lets it down is the heal/ankle. I've had lots of Altra shoes over the last few years (although never a timp) and never had this problem, always been a fan. However, no matter how tight I tie the laces, I can't get the heal to stay in place, it seems like the lacing doesn't come up the ankle high enough, or the heal is too straight rather than curved round the ankle. and my heal just moves, and rubs raw. This is so much of an issue I can't wear these at all anymore, only worn for around 50km, not worth it! I really hope this hasn't also changed on the new Olympus, as previous versions have seen me through thousands of miles

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why change a good thing? It's not the worst shoe and if I don't find a better option i guess i would have to buy it again, but I really do not understand why they narrowed this show so much. The 1.5's were great. They are the only shoes I have found that don't cause blisters no matter the distance I run. This new model does. Please bring back the 1.5 design. I love Altras and will likely try a new Altra trail shoe to see if I can replace my Timp 1.5's. This shoe is just not the one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why?? Why change it? When I discovered these shoes, I can't tell you how happy I was. The Timp 1.5 was perfect. Why on earth would you change it? I had no choice but to get the Timp 2 because I couldn't find the 1.5. I figured it would be ok but the first time out, I have blisters on both heels. I'm actually distraught. I've had so many issues with other tennis shoes and I thought those days were over. I have no idea now what other model to try. Please change it back. Or give me the option to still buy the Timp 1.5

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for wide feet I discovered Altras a few years ago and they were the PERFECT athletic shoe for my super wide feet. I thought I would be loyal for life, but the changes to the TIMP2 are super disappointing. The shoe now feels much too narrow in the toe box, the exact reason I had loved this brand in the first place. I had read similar reviews prior to buying and thought this can't be true, but let me tell you, it is! If you were hoping for comfy shoes for a wider foot, DO NOT get the updated TIMP2
