Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took these right out of the box on a 8 mile hike that had a pretty steep incline. I went through some puddles and mud which I was excited for to test out the Gortex water proofing, and it held up great! These are extremely comfortable with almost no break in time. The tread griped really well on just about everything I stepped on. My feet were blister free, however they did get a little sweaty which I was expecting due to Gortex lined shoes not being the best for breathability. I can’t say much for the longevity of the boot, but they have a 2 year warranty, so that gives me some options if they fail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lightweight hiking boot [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the boot to replace my old hiking boot from other brand which is much heavier than this one. This boot does provide enough cushioning because the mid-sole is pretty soft. The foot bed is thin so you can have strong feeling of road sense. Thin foot bed also means weak protection from the ground so be aware of pointy stone terrain and don't step on sharp stone. In terms of waterproofness I didn't put it through the ringer. I only encountered several fast creek crossing and the boot kept my foot dry. The traction is good even when the trail is wet. I am not going to say you are not going to slip anyway since if intentionally step on stone covered with moss you are going slip. But I would say the Vibram megagrip does provide traction, especially on wet stone(not covered with moss), better than other brand's outsole.

The boots arrived very quickly and in perfect shape! We were incredibly happy with the great service, great price and amazing product! Every hiking boot in our house is from Asolo! We each own the landscapes for lighter duty and we each own more rugged heavier versions for those hikes where we need more support. I can’t say enough good about the Asolo Landscape boot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Asolo men’s landscape GV boot [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered a 10 and 10.5 in this boot. Loved the size 10 on my right foot and the 10.5 on my left. In Asolo’s defense, my left foot s larger than my right. Had to return them but they are very nice, lightweight and comfortable boots.If I two feet the same size I would have liked to wear them on a hike.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a light trail hiking shoe for the summer months, and needed a little more ankle support than an approach shoe had to offer. Bingo! However, like others mentioned, the audible FWAP in the toe box materials when walking IS annoying. And there really is limited padding or midsole stiffness in these "boots", making a bit "flimsy" in terms of keeping uneven trail surfaces (rocks/roots) from being felt right through the bottoms. These would be great for even terrain and flat trails, but a little too "communicative" for my needs. Going to return and buy Salomons like I had intended on the first go-around. These are plenty wide for those with a wide foot, and very comfy right out of the box, but I question how long the soles would last given the lack of padding, and also the Vibram sole is nearly half the depth of other similar boots, which belies the TRAIL readiness of these boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shoe; needs break in [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decided to try these because I’m a huge fan of the non leather ones, however for me I didn’t care for the stiffness of the boot, thus leading to me exchanging them for the OG Landscape. I’m sure these will suite someone quite well, just be aware of the break in!
