No insulation in back, NEED sleeping pad[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most people would be using a pad anyway, but I feel this is a critical design trait that should be clearly mentioned. There is literally zero insulation between the back and the pad holder (just a thin piece of fabric), so a pad is absolutely necessary. And if that pad loses air, or doesn't have enough R value, someone's kiddo is going to have a miserable night. I really thought this bag checked all the boxes based on description, until I received. Also not a big fan of the zipper only going halfway down. Anyway, this one's going back.

Decent bag with NO BACK and they no longer insert[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag is decently made but it literally has no back/bottom to it. They require you to purchase an insulated pad to make up for that fact but they NO LONGER MAKE IT so you can't. The bag is completely useless. I tried every company out there and nobody makes anything that will fit at this point. I spoke with Big Agnes twice. The first rep told me nobody makes something that will fit it and I just need to return the item and the second rep told me to just shove a giant mat into it and let it tumble out the top unsecured and the kid wouldn't care. No thanks. I returned it for something else.

Great but…[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag has been great so far, but we still need to find the right pad and many don’t work. The Klymit sized short pad is too low r-value, the thermarest is pretty expensive and mummy style. Those are about the only two short pad options. We’ve been using a short sized Nemo switchback, partially sticking out the top, which works ok but is easy to flip. The bag itself is very warm, but as many reviews have said, the underside needs a pad, there is no insulation. Just wish more brands made short pads to fit!

Not effective without sleeping pad[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I understood from the description that this bag features an integrated sleeve for a sleeping pad. I did not see any suggestions that would lead me to believe this bag is not effective without using a sleeping pad, but there is absolutely no insulation between the integrated pad sleeve and the actual sleeping bag. I don't know how this could be effective as a 15 degree bag without an actual sleeping pad with it. Definitely a surprise and I will be returning as I do not plan on using a sleeping pad for my intended use. Cute bag though...

She was great below freezing![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have spent a lot of time in the backcountry, but my wife and my 6 y.o. have never been out. I found out I was going to have to miss my daughter's first camping trip with the Cub Scouts. So I scrambled to take her out first. I paired this with a BA Air Core Ultra (20x48 [I have never used this company before so I have zero loyalty]). I slept pretty poorly, because I was worried about her...she turned over once. Temp hit 31 degrees at 2 AM...she pulled her hat off to sleep on; because the pillow I got her 'made a funny sound'? My novice 6 y.o. girl slept like a rock in this thing (11 hours straight). I felt like a conquering hero when I got home (clearly I am the greatest outdoorsman in history). The design and temp rating exceeded my expectations. My wife and my daughter are begging to go out again this fall. I'm asking every scout master in the pack if they want to borrow this thing.

Great service snd options[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great color and quality. The only issue is that a pad is required and I needed to find that on another site. I would have preferred it be added as a suggestion

Great bag for kids![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used this bag for about a year with our kids. We have only used it to right around freezing, but they were toasty warm the entire time. We didn’t get the pad that was sold with it, but the short Thermarest Ridgerest fits perfectly in the slot. It is fairly light and compresses pretty well, so we are very happy with it!

Kiddo loves it[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this to upgrade from my little mo, my 2 year old is obsessed with playing camping in the living room with it. The thermarest z-lite and regular pad fit in the sleeve just fine. It’s not as perfect as a kids size mat would be but my 2 year old does care if the top of his sleeping pad extends a pibe hi new big kid bag.
