The Black Crows Daemon Ski is an all-mountain ski that provides a playful and powerful ride on all terrain. It features less grip and a full reverse camber, meaning that you have more pivot and can easily turn no matter the conditions. In fact, it's recommended that you avoid flats altogether, because you'll really be missing out on what this ski can do. Its flat tail profile and enlarged side lines make for a stable ride while the Titanal plates add a lightweight, lively feel on the mountain. Whether you're in deep pow or slicing through hardpack, this ski is precise enough to keep you going all day.

Just a bit of pow / chop and this thing is stellarJust finished four days at Keystone CO on this ski; 170 length. First two days there hadn't been snow in ~10 days, third day 5" overnight and another 5" during the day, fourth day, single digits and high wind. If there's even a little bit of powder (or some chop), the ski is an absolute blast, delivering hard turns and comfort at reasonable speeds (45mph). I did some north bowl skiing on it as well in about 8" of pow and had zero issues. It was very easy to turn tightly in the trees and moguls. Where I did not like it whatsoever was on frozen groomers, or at high speeds (over 50mph) on hard pack. I felt a bit uncomfortable on a run where I hit 55mph on a packed groomer; tips and tails were just bouncing (it is a mild full rocker) and the skis were moving around more than I'd like. If you're more of an east coast ice skier, I'd probably avoid it. For most days in the rockies it should be fantastic, especially if you're someone like me who flies in with a single ski and can't bring several options. If it were a super powder dump day, I'd probably go rent a pow ski, but otherwise this is going to be my go-to for a while I think. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
