Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best headlamp! Hands down! I have a expensive surefire headlamp and a stream light headlamp, and they do not even come close to this light! It's light on my head, doesn't wobble or wiggle even if jogging! And it's BRIGHT!! Also it is dimmable and has a smaller led that I can use that doesn't blind the people around me if I'm with a group or friend! I'm about to order two more now!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good light features but not waterproof at all It's useless when getting wet....I don't know how they can claim IPX8 waterproofing but I had in the rain and briefly in a outdoor pool. Battery compartment door has no seal so water finds its way freely and caused all sorts of problems. Bought this lamp for canyoning at Fora-corda (they offered a few types for canyoning, of which this was one) but I'm happy I never ended up in a cave(pool) where I would have needed it. Light bundle functionality is great, build quality not up to standard

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Military use. I'm in the U.S. Army I spent 21 day out in the field having this headlamp on my person 24/7. It got bumped around covered in dust and dirt. Spent 2 full days getting rained on and kept on working I used it every night on the bright red night vision mode this headlamp out does any others I have used very solid and reliable product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headlamp I bought this lamp in a shop because the seller advised me. I´m newbie with all these tools for hiking, etc.. I do have experience with other headlamp and from my inexpert experience I like it. It does not hurt and it is pretty confortable. And I was amazed by how far I coul see (told you..I´m a newbie.. I get excited easily haha). I have to add, I used it a lot while sailing.. and I had no problem with it being wet (for now!). Fact is, I have some friends that are expert and they also liked it.. so I am proud of my purchase. hihi This is my first experience with BD.. and I would buy it again if needed. :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber Beam I picked up a Cosmo headlamp because you can never have too many headlamps if you live an outdoor lifestyle and I also wanted to try something new. The other brand I had been using didn't have a "lock" feature like the Cosmo. So needless to say, there were many a time I'd pull my lamp out of my bag to find it already on, and wasting battery power. With the Cosmo I don't have that problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good headlamp with very tight latch Battery door latch is so tight, you're begging for a screwdriver to help open it, then worry about breaking the plastic. Same latch on Astro, but it's too easy to open on that - plastic molding issue. Gotta sand it down. Brightness and reach is fine on max. The two white bulbs do have a slightly noticeable projected offset, but generally fine for all uses. A slightly warmer color temperature than the Astro. Easily puts out enough light to light a bedroom just enough to read print. Red isn't as bright as on some other headlamps. No electronics buzz that is present on the Astro. Good tilt range. Same strap design as Astro, so don't expect the length to stay the same after removing the lamp from your head - adjust often before wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headlamp at a great price Awesome little headlamp - my husband uses the revolt as he needs the extra light sailing st night, but the cosmo is perfect for getting into dark spaces on the boat and love the red light feature.

I used this a bit but now is ‘stuck’ on red light mode and I cannot figure out how to get back to white light. What is red light used for anyway?

Asked by: djm216
Great question! Red-light mode is primarily used for nighttime or map reading. It preserves our night vision by not causing the pupils to shrink the way white light can. In addition, red-light mode will prolong your battery life. From the "off" position, you can access the red light by holding the top button down. Hold it again to dim and three times to strobe. Click one more time to turn off. You can activate this without having to cycle through the white mode. It sounds like your headlamp is actually locked. You can unlock it by holding down the top button for four seconds. Once you have done that, you can then put it back into white mode. I included the instruction manual below. I hope this info helps! https://bit.ly/2vjfhT5
