Can’t field repair tail [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These fold up nicer than the full nylon ones and I haven’t had an issue slipping when climbing on these. A bit sticky to pull off skis at first but should get easier. My one gripe is the tail clip assembly. I’ve had bd skins for years and I have had the rubber tail clip break. Easy fix, just slide out the broken one and slide in a spare replacement. Now you can’t fix it like that anymore. You must cut off the tail of the skin and rivet in an entire new assembly. Why make a easy repair so much harder?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like Seal Skins Without all the Murder [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They slide and glide, but only when you want (unless the angle is so ridiculously steep that you only have yourself to blame). They grab but aren't grabby. They're sticky without being gross. Easily trimmed, but not so easy you over-trim. And the gray and black pattern is sublimely low-key. I use them in southeast Alaska where the snow can be wet as whale whiskers or dry as a Sunday dance party, and they work across the spectrum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes touring fun [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy instructions for cutting them, I like to put the edge over the ski to leave a nice 3 mm edge of the ski available for good traction. These were great skins, good glide and excellent, uphill traction. I was beeting my friends. Having tons of fun here in the northwest Cascades with these I can definitely and confidently recommend them.

Highly reccommend! ONE NOTE: They come in pre-cut lengths and they aren't quite long enough for the longest length. Ex. if they say they are for 165-180 they won't actually fit 180. Get the ones where 180 falls in the middle of the spectrum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product for my husbands birthday present as his were worn out, and he absolutely loves them. We both have the orange version of the skins, and have used them a great deal, especially during the pandemic when the ski lifts were shut down. The skins allowed us to get out and enjoy the mountains. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best brand around [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my first pair in 1993; still have a 20-year old pair (re-gluing them right now!). I added two new pair this year (Fall 2021) and these are sweet, standard gear. Secure tips, tails; and trim the sides. RECOMMEND: if in doubt, go with the longer pair (if your ski seems to be inbetween).

I am new to touring and instructions were simple, toe clip already installed, all you had to do was cut to shape. Looking forward to using them more this spring!
