Not the usual durability.I bought these pants for use during a recent trip to the desert. As with other BD pants, these things fit well and are very comfortable. The adjustable waistline is great for wearing under your harness without a belt. Great feature. The issue I have with these pants was the durability. I wore these a single day doing single pitch routes in Moab... by the end of the day these pants had holes in the pocket area. I'm not sure I would recommend these pants for anything outside a casual hike. On the flipside the BD Alpine Light Softshell Pants do great and there durability is also awesome.

Yow!! What happened to my Dogma Pants???The brilliant belt feature made the cut, but the patch-pockets seem kinda cheap (also harder to USE in practice) and you know they'll blow out early.
Big disappointment is the sweet little thigh-pocket— THAT is sorely missed!!
C'mon BD… let's bring the original Dogma Pants back, and in primary colors, too. I see the new line is rather subdued in chroma. I got blue, orange and, yes, gray is ok for now but… how 'bout reconsidering the basis of the new design over the old.
For the price, Levis are the dope; been climbing in over-size 501s for decades.

Great look and fit, but bad quality..Got these pants and day 1 took them out for a climb. Within 30 minutes of climbing I split the crotch of the pants. They are great pants but not climbing pants. This isn't black diamond quality...

Had to lower my ratingStill think they are a comfortable pant and I like they double knee and butt . Perhaps my favorite climbing pant but after a few months of use like another reviewer noted the crotch blew out . I think this can easily be solved with a double stitch through the crotch . The pockets and knees have a double stitch , I don't understand why you would put a single stitch in a pant designed for activities like climbing. I look forward to purchasing another pair if this issue is resolved.

ComfortableI bought two pairs of these and was immediately happy with how they fit. However, when I put the durability to the test I was disappointed. I work out in the woods and tend to go through work pants fairly quickly, but these lasted 3 days before the thorns ripped threads out everywhere and the crotch split. Very good pants, just not in the conditions I work in.

So much potential, but not quite there.I purchased these in gray a little less than a month ago for a road trip to Indian Creek, Moab, Zion, and Joshua Tree. I climbed about 35 pitches in these pants.
1. Extremely comfortable and soft.
2. Look and fit great
3. The built-in belt is awesome and works great with a harness.
1. Durability. There are already dime-sized holes in both front pockets, and tears along the seams at the knees.
2. The front pockets are poorly designed and limit your range of motion during a high step when storing something like a cellphone during a climb.
Recommendations for future version:
1. As someone mentioned before me, a side pocket that sits below the leg loop with a zipper would be awesome.
2. Beef up the stitching along the seams and material in high contact areas. These are REALLY soft. You could sacrifice some of this comfort by using a more durable material and still maintain a soft, stretchy feel.

Quite GoodThese are quite comfortable and fit well as a general pant. I enjoy the waistband adjustment feature and feel of the fabric. They have a couple issues I'd love to see addressed, however: 1) The stitching in the front pockets wore out quickly with normal use and needs repair. 2) The design of the front pocket is such that small items (like a small pocket knife, coins, etc.) can slide out when sitting down. It'd be much better to have the pocket top inside be "deeper" than the actual pocket opening so small items like this would stay in.

Comfy and great for climbingBought these pants a size to bigger than usual because I was looking for extra comfort and figured the belt feature would be useless in my normal size. Maybe this why i have not blown out the crotch yet like other people. Since they are climbing pants I usually wear them when climbing or casual outings. When working, I wear working pants like carharts that are designed for that sort of abuse. With that said I have dragged my butt down a few skree fields and my BD pants have been holding up. While climbing I forget I'm even wearing pants... not to mention they look great.
