Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems solid, is bright I haven't used it camping yet, but I've used it around the house, just testing it out, with rechargeable Eneloops. Good even light -- seems like it will be perfect for eating at a campsite, preferably hung from above (because on a table, it's a little blinding). Also seems like it will be perfect hung form the roof of a tent for reading. Great that it dims - very smooth, easy switch to use with or without gloves. Flickers once to inform you that light has reached MAX or MIN setting, which is very handy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but not regulated This lantern is great for it's price and well thought out. The split ring to hang is very easy to use and thought out. You do pretty much need to use it in downhang position to maximize usage. Having it on a table wastes a lot of light. However, I'm dinging it because the electronics are not regulated. It uses PWM to dim, instead of regulation. This means as your batteries powerdown, so does the light output even at max setting. The Hours rating on the box or description are therefore highly exaggerated. After about 15hrs, your batteries will be at 50%, and you will be putting out less than 50% of the light, and the device is useless as a bright light at the halfway to tail end. Use rechargeables so you can use just the top part charge of the light. However this light is inexpensive, and you'd have to step up to a fenix light or other dedicated flashlight maker to get regulated output at twice the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blue Moji XP Much brighter than expected, the only con is I wish it had a dimming red light feature for retaining night vision. 3AA powered, longer life and more brightness compared to the standard 3AAA Moji. 3-in-1: flashlight, hanging lantern and tabletop. Also water-resistant to light rain; submersion not advised. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really nice tent light I have both this new generation of Black Diamond small lantern, and the old. This size and the smaller ones make good tent lights. They have the same hanging loops underneath (not seen in the picture) as the older model. I've found them to be durable and very good length of time the battery lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing little light! This is an amazing little light! It throws off enough light to cook, read and sort gear with. It's awesome and hangs or sets almost anywhere. I wish there was place where you could carry a spare set of batteries. But, even without it's amazing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light Very nice like with an adjustable didn't mean future. Best hanging upside down to light the entire area. Lasts for a really long time and is very bright. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Great Light" for all kinds of uses. Great backcountry light, it has got some simple and appreciated features like its double 3/4 snag hooks that fold in, and make it a dream to hang from thin to mid thick lines. A dimming feature with wide variability in its setting (great for in the tent), and seems to work great in cold weather. I personally love keeping this in my car, as its a great alternative to a shop light, or cage light if you have to do some emergency roadside engine work, and have to see what your doing with out holding it... or worse... having to angle the flash light against something nearby. The range is pretty good for the light it is, and as far as use a Lantern I refuse to use anything less then a midi series now. I also own the original Moji.... My go to light when backpacking... the one I just reviewed is more my all kinds of things light.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice design but questionable quality Pros: Nice clean design, easy to change batteries. Cons: On-off switch broke after 2 months of light use. Returned.
