Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST POLES- Worth the money! I bought these poles for the Havasu waterfall/Beaver waterfall trail. It is extremely rock and sandy and hard to get footing, so these were amazing! Even at the end hiking back out of the Grand Canyon when I was tired and putting all of my weight on them to pull myself up, they were amazing. HIGHLY recommend- life savers! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking poles!! I bought these for my wife do a recent NOBO AT section hike we did from Harper’s Ferry. After we got off the canal and started up the mountain she took them out and commented on how comfy the grips were and how better stabilized she felt. Male or female Black Diamond poles are a must have! The cork grips are great for lasting comfort and reduced hand fatigue, and the adjustable length makes them very versatile. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trekking poles I have completed 260 miles hiking the AT and these poles work great. They are very lightweight without compromising strength. The cork handles are comfortable and provide a solid grip. It is very quick and easy to adjust the length when climbing or descending steep grades. I liked these poles so much I bought a second set for my spouse. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gear I bought these for my wife, however, I have a pair myself. They are essential to take out on every trip. I had these in an avalanche and they did not break, while other people that had trekking poles from different companies poles broke [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from heavy The product is good for advanced trekking with high loads, but the weight is high and it is possible to find identical products even in aluminum with a lower weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, solid, comfortable poles I bought these prior to our recent trip to Glacier NP (just got back) and used them for 60 miles over 7 days. I have very flat feet and bad pronation so downhill hiking hurts my knees, a lot. I use the poles as 2 more 'feet' to work my way down long/steep declines and at Glacier, there are quite a few - some 4+ miles down and more. The poles were very easy to adjust on the fly to lengthen for downhills and nice and light for easy and quick forward movement with little fatigue. Rock solid poles that took a lot of direct weight (I weigh 150 lbs at 5'4") and abuse without any slipping of the clamps. Clamps that were easy on the fingers to open and close. The tips held really well on rocks with very little skidding. I was worried about the collapsed length in my suitcase, but being able to simply pull the 3 pieces apart, placing the longest section in diagonally, enabled for a perfect fit. Most of the time, I used cycling gloves but the few times I didn't, the cork handles were comfortable. My knees still hurt and were swollen at the end of the week, but without the poles, they would've been much much worse. One pole was also quite useful in shooing away the aggressive ground squirrels that get (wrongly) fed on the top of Piegan Pass.
