I know climbing shoes have to fit snugly, but these are synthetic- not leather- so less stretch over time. I wanted something comfy NOW. I’m normally a size 8.5, and the 9.5 was still a bit too snug- so I supersized up to a 10.5 and seriously... they work GREAT. Great grippyness on the walls, no pinching, no slipping off. I’m a newish climber so my tactic probably isn’t the best idea for all...but I’m so happy I went with this shoe and this brand.

I tried several pairs and these were by far the most comfortable and best deal. Size up though! I wear an 8 in street shoes and purchased a 9 in these and they fit great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] *Order one size up for perfect fit!* Black diamond suggests that you order your street shoe size which for me was a tight fit from big toe to heel but too tight and narrow in the toe box. I swapped them out for a full size up and these fit perfect with my toes downturned slightly. Great intro shoes with a good shape and grip. Breaking them in was fairly quick. (FYI leather insole with synthetic uppers, so I have not seen much of a change in fit while wearing them so get the right size out the gate.)

However they feel amazing and secure when I am on the wall, which is the most important.

My husband and I just got into rock climbing, and expect this shoe to do well during our first year of sloppy footwork :)
