The Black Diamond Women's Notion Pant is a stretch cotton pant for bouldering and gym climbs. A loose fit that moves and stretches with every stretch and bend you make. The 4 pockets hang onto key card and phone when you're on you're way into the gym. The elastic waist is comfortable and has a tie so it won't slip.

Good pant, too short.I agree with a below comment—too short for my body type. Such a bummer for a quality pant. I’m 5’7.5”, 125lbs. Small is too big in the rump. I got an XS which fits well everywhere!.... but I look like Steve Urkle because they’re so short. Needs probably 2 more inches to not look silly. Not sure if I’m going to keep them or not. May work for shorter legs. I think my legs are fairly average ratio for my height so it’s not like I have extra long legs not making the pants work for whomever is reading this and trying to decide. Hopefully works for other people because they’re really nice pants. @blackdiamond wanna add a “long version” to these pants? ;)

Good for non contact activityI love BD equipment, but I'm finding their clothes don't hold up. I wore these running errands once, and they're super comfy, and breath well. I took them on a climb, where I had a moment of drag on the backside, and these already have started to fray at the seam and the butt looks like it's been on 30 climbs. I realize climbing can be hard on clothes, but these just aren't meant for rock, and are too pricey to wear just twice. They do stretch well, so yoga might be more appropriate.

Sizing Seems Weird, but decent pants. My girlfriend bought a pair of these in size small (she's 5'2", around 120 lbs), and they were massive. Like, way way big. But the upshot? They fit me great. So if you happen to be an incredibly average sized male (5'8", 150 lbs), who normally wears a men's medium, may I suggest grabbing a pair of the Women's Smalls. I'm pretty happy, although the whole situation kinda bummed her out.
interestingly enough, my size medium BD harness is a bit on the tight side. Kinda over the inconsistent sizing.

Super comfortable but why is there NEVER TALLS??!These are great pants. So comfortable but just a little too short. I’m 5’9” and this is always the problem. Not all women are 5’7”

Best pants! Please bring back sandalwood colorI got these as a Christmas present and was skeptical at first but oh my once I put them on I realized there was no going back. The ankle cinch is so cute without being weirdly genie-like and the material is soft yet also durable!? How?? I wear them every weekend to climb in and have even worn them to work. Amazing. The only thing that I'm sad about is that the best color, sandalwood (like a tan/pink color) was removed from the color options and I can't find it anywhere. Please bring that color back, BD!
Also yeah they run a little big I suppose but they're supposed to be a little baggy. I have a 29" waist and 36" hips and I have the small and yes it's a little big but that's the point. It would look awkward if it fit snug. It's meant to be a little loose fitting.

Comfortable[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants have nice stretch which makes them very comfortable. I like the cut of the pockets, just the right size. Order a size down from what you would typically get. I’m 5’10, 142lbs and got a size small which fits just right. Normally I’m a size 8 which would be a medium. My two daughters have these pants and love them. I tried on a pair of theirs which prompted me to order them for myself, that’s also how I knew to order a smaller size. Get these, you won’t be disappointed. I plan to wear mine for golf during cooler weather and as casual wear.

Love EverythingI bought these pants a while ago, and they are now my favorite pair of pants. They hold up really well to both indoor and outdoor climbing, and allow all the movement you need. The looseness of the pants allows for increadible range of motion, but do not feel like they are going to fall off, or that too much fabric will get in your way. They are also really soft.
I have also started using these as yoga pants. They feel better on than any actual yoga specific pant I have ever owned. I would recommend not using them for hot yoga though since they are cotton.
Best part is they look good as normal casual pants for just wearing out. I will definitely be buying more of the colors.

A little shortThese are some of my favorite pants to climb in. As some of the other reviews have said, they do run a little bit large (I ended up ordering the XS). I am 5'8 and they are also quite short for me. Not a big deal since I primarily wear them climbing, where I don't mind the shortness since it keeps them out of my way, but I wouldn't be able to wear them to work or in a more casual setting due to the length. That being said, they are extremely comfortable and seem to be pretty durable. I've had them for years and have yet to wear a hole through them. They've become slightly faded over time, but I'd blame that more on the chalk at the gym than on the pants!
