Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and Decent Weight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these poles to test the shock absorbing mechanism. In the past, its been toward the bottom of the trekking pole. In this set, it is nearer to the base of the handle. I'm sure it makes some difference. I found these poles to be very well made, great quality and fairly decent weight compared to other trekking pole pairs. They are a bit noisier than other poles I have that do not have the shock mechanism. I will use these for day hikes, especially in places that I worry may put extra strain or tension due to rocky terrain and lots of scree. These are very nice trekking pole options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent quality I used these for 2 days in rainy conditions and a lot of mud and rocks. I put them to the test. Pros: shock absorption makes a HUGE difference especially when the terrain is tough. Handles are very comfortable. Poles are easy to open and close. Hands didn't get tired from using them. Strong and well made. Cons: the hand straps are too long so you can't make the loop smaller. The R (right) and L (left) labeling should be on the pole head, not on the straps. I was wearing a poncho and couldn't tell which pole I had in what hand without stopping. All in all...great poles! Worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I bought these Lightweight, super comfortable grip handles, easy to lock out and adjust, easy to carry if unneeded. I use poles when backpacking, hiking, and carrying my climbing gear to the crag or base of a route to help my over-beat-up knees. I was using a pair of twist lock Leki's I bought in 2004, that would unlock at the most inopportune times. I've had these poles a couple weeks and have used them on every outing. Looking forward to putting them through the ringer over the next several years. I know they are going to hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me on scree! I'm so happy with these poles. I've spent a lot of time hiking and peak bagging in the Mojave desert (read: covered in scree and sharp rocks). The paths are often on very steep slopes and having poles has always been a wish list. These are AMAZING! My sweaty hands are no match for them! Super simple to pack away or bust out when the topography changes. The shock absorbers definitely do their work. I've had several near misses with my feet getting out in front of me and these poles always held my body weight on the half-fall. Now, only if my feet would make smarter choices jajaja

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong and sturdy, with a bit of shock absorber [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There were two features that led me to these poles and was pleased with both. 1. They have a bit of shock absorber and this little bit of give is really nice on the trails. 2. They can collapse for easier transport. I already had a pair of these and ordered a second to leave with family who lives in an area with lots of hiking. While the poles collapse, they don't collapse to the size of standard carryon bag. I've packed them in a full size suitcase without issue, but sometimes I don't always want to carry a full size suitcase. The poles adjusts in two areas - one is a lever that opens and closes and is easy; the other is the smashlock that I have to work a little more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sticks! I bought these sticks for my wife when she walked the The Camino de Santiago. I started using them after she returned and liked them so much I kept them and bought her another pair. I never bothered to investigate how the women's poles differ from the men's, but I've yet to have someone on trail stop me and say, "Hey, you know those are women's poles, don'cha?" They're light, the pole clips are secure and easy to adjust, and the shock absorber is easy on my aging arthritic wrists. Plus, after a friend bent the lower shaft on a pole, getting a replacement shaft was simple and straightforward. And the folks at Black Diamond were friendly, responsive, and helpful in getting back to my emails. You get what you pay for with these poles. Happy Trails

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trekking poles! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After lots of research, I decided to splurge on these piles and so glad I did! I’ve used them a few times. They are easy to adjust and really help my balance and coordination on the trail! I don’t tire as quickly when I use these! I haven’t used any other poles, so can’t compare, but I don’t think I’d ever buy another kind!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trekking! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tested these trekking poles in my first adventure climbing a 14er in the Rockies . They are lightweight, packable, and durable. I also felt the women specific dimensions were an added plus . Built to last !
