Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am being troubled with something I only had one session with them so this is more of a question. When you step with your foot the mid sole has to stretch right? this is natural. I find Zone's mid sole quite difficult to stretch, this forces pressure on the heel and the heel naturally forces the foot forward. This forces the fingers to squeeze inside the shoe which is uncomfortable (but not painful at all) and forces big toe and index to apply pressure against the toe box which can be quite painful. So my question is this. Is this normal due to me not being used to them and shoes not yet broken in or is there an actual issue? (I want to note that this is my very first pair of downturn shoes)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great First Time Aggressive Shoe I've had these shoes for a few weeks now and they turned out to be just what I wanted. After trying several other aggressive shoes I finally tried the zone. On the wall they are super comfortable, I sized half a size down from street shoe size. Took 3 sessions to break in and be super comfy. Not a shoe you are going to be able to walk far in. My feet are wide and the high volume zone fits my feet like a glove. The heel is snug without being too tight. At first the rubber was sliding off of slopers or large irregular holds, but after breaking in they hold like glue on everything. On top of the technical attributes of the zone I think they are one of the coolest looking shoe on the market. Before the zone I was rocking momentums and would recommend these who want to take the leap into something aggressive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too Similar To Focus? I needed new shoes and since I love the fit of my Focus I purchased this in the same size ( 1/2 down from street ). Unfortunately I had to return them before even trying them out, the heel is much higher volume than the Focus, it just isnt going to work for me. I have super wide feet so the LV is out of the question. Also, this shoe felt just as stiff as the Focus, which I didnt want ( this was to be a gym shoe ). The literature on this shoe said it was half way between the Shadow and Focus as far as stiffness but the midsole on this shoe is stiff as a board, I dont think I could smear in them. I think BD should go back, make the heel the same as the Focus, and make it MUCH softer. I think for the right person, this is a very good shoe, it just wasnt for me. The fit and finish, quality of materials, and look of the shoe are top notch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe to use overall I bought this shoe in July and I loved it personally! The stiffness of the shoe is good especially when I use this shoe when it comes to projecting boulder problems. For instance, there good for small footholds when projecting a hard boulder problem. If you love to heel or toe hook, then this is the one for you as well. Another thing is that, if you are getting this shoe, then please figure out your shoe size before ordering online or buying it. Because, I wear a size 9 - 9.5 shoe and I had to size down to a size 8 for this climbing shoe which now fits perfectly! I hope this can help y'all out a bit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Shoes I got these shoes for Christmas (its now August). At first they were painful to wear but i could tell they had great potential. After about two weeks they were fully broken in and comfortable to wear. I climb in these shoes 4-5 times a week, indoors and outside. I have had a lot of climbing shoes in the past but these are my overall favorite. They are flexible enough for smearing and down turned enough for steep climbs. Overall these are the only shoes I wear now, I just wish i could get some of the LV colors in the full width size.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not enough selection for larger shoe sizes I am a huge fan of the brand but I am very disappointed to see that there is a minimal selection for larger sizes with respect to moderate and aggressive climbing shoes. The Aspect and Momentum shoes are offered up to UK 14, but for individuals like myself who have larger feet (UK 13) it becomes very difficult to find a more aggressive shoe. I think it might be advantageous to offer the same selection of sizes across all your shoe models, as this would cater to customers looking to stay with the brand and transition from a moderate to a more aggressive shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color and grip! I needed a new climbing shoes for next level. On the cliff adhesion is good, I train into the Dolomites. Really, really good climbing shoes. With these shoes you can handle any heavy or light cliffs. The final notes - reliable - superior grip - breathable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good first time intermediate shoe Had to exchange the first pair due to sizing. I wear street shoe 9.5 US and had to size up to 10.5 and they fit pretty well. I have a normal size foot and it seems these are a bit higher volume as I have a bit of extra material but not enough to really affect performance. Just be aware if you have smaller foot and consider the Zone LV. Did a short bouldering sesh today and thought the rubber was excellent. Did a couple of problems with some hooks and they heel hook rather well and toe hooks are OK but that is to be expected with this design. Pretty good all around shoe honestly, just wouldn't recommend for any slab projects. I would characterize it as a solid first intermediate shoe.
