Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeps Out the Elements I live in Upstate New York where it can snow, rain and be sunny all in one day or less. I needed a jacket that while not waterproof would deflect light rain and snow for awhile. This jacket does all that while not looking like a raincoat and keeps the wind and cold out as well. The fabric is better looking and not as likely to pill as fleece. The fit is a little trimmer than many Carhart garments, which is good. this type of jacket looks better that way. I'm an X-large but sometimes Carhart XL stuff is very loose on me. This jacket will be great in a lot of situations where other jackets I own, many wool, just won't work so I do expect to use it A LOT!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Size Issue with Medium Gave this jacket a 3 star review due to a size problem with size medium. I am 5'9" , 175 lbs and purchased a size medium in navy blue. The jacket was extremely tight in my shoulders and upper arms. This was not the relaxed fit I have experienced with other size med Carhartt jackets. I returned the size med and ordered a size Large. The large was too big for me, but more what I expect from Carhartt sizing. I returned this jacket also. Not sure if this was a one time issue, or if there is a quality problem with size med. As another reviewer recommended, if you can, try on this jacket before buying a size med. Other than the size issue, the jacket appears very durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Black Jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I am sure I'm not the only guy to have 5-6 different black jackets in my closet. Each one may look the same but I know which one to wear based on the weather. This Crowley Jacket is one of the heavier jackets I know own, it is really good for 40 degree, Friday night outdoor sporting events. I am a shop teacher and I also like that I can work in it in the classroom, yet still appear stylish and professional in the classroom. I have washed it twice now and have noticed some fringes on the inside of the jacket. It does not appear to effect it, just something I've noticed. Good quality jacket for the price paid for it. I would buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I havent owned a carhartt jacket for some time due to the first I owned lasted a long time and was the duck style and took forever to break in. I had avoided buying one due to the stiffness and not knowing cathartt had so many options. I tried this on and loved the flexibility of the fabric and the warmth of the fleece lining. I usually wear a 2xl but was surprised to feel how tight a 2xl was. Tried on a 3xl and was a much better fit. It even leaves enough room to wear a hooded shirt shirt underneath in extreme cold days. The styling of the jacket gives off a more professional appearance for production and office meetings but on the job is tough and rugged!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket for cold wet weather I’ve spent many hours outside in cold, wet weather, and this is the best jacket I’ve ever had for cold and wet weather. My girlfriend got me this jacket and this past weekend, I spent four hours on the lake in 40 degree weather with fog and drizzle, going 30 mph across the lake, pulling in jug lines and getting water splashed on me. Every part of me that was under the jacket stayed warm and dry. I’d like for the sleeves to be a little roomier for more layers in colder weather, but it’s still a really good jacket. I really wish Carhartt made pants out of this same material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what he wanted [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket came quickly. Packaged great. My nephew loved it. He's 35 and is studying for his PHD. He said the jacket fit great. Not too tight and the arms were long enough even when outstretched. He mimicked riding his bike to show me how it was not constricting and the arm length. He also said he would be able to layer it under his heavier carhartt jacket in extreme Wisconsin temperatures. Overall, he was thrilled to receive it. Was just what he needed. He's a skinny medium and about 6'1 or 2".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Nice Jacket This jacket looks great. It's description labels it "Heavyweight" but I would say it's a midweight at best. Very good at blocking the wind. A little awkward fitting in the upper arms. Working with arms above my head is a little restricting. Also if you've never seen this jacket in person it looks softer online than it is. It has a rough exterior. The kind that makes noise when you move in it. I had a hard time rating this. I like the way it looks and I've been wearing every day since I got it. But if I lost it I don't think I'd buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent All-Around Jacket So far it has been a great jacket. I bought it knowing it wasn’t a heavy weight jacket, but it has done an excellent job keeping me warm this spring with temps in the 30’s and 40’s and winds many days gusting in the 30-40 mph range. So far it has met and exceeded my expectations. As for fit & finish, it is just a little large which aids in mobility and layering without being too big, I really like the tarmac color and this jacket would look just as good out on the town as it does out on the job. I would highly recommend this jacket!
