Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's not Fashion Week This coat isn't the best looking coat in the world, it's not designed to be. It attracts/holds onto lint, sawdust, dog hair and other annoying substances, but it keeps me warm when I'm doing stuff - which is why i bought it. The freedom of movement with the fullswing cut is exceptionally nice, the pocket space is bountiful and it's warm when you're working. Not certain it's the warmest jacket for just sitting around outside, but my guess is you're not looking to buy a full swing jacket to sit around. Uses: I wear it while I'm framing, working in the garage, shoveling, walking the dog etc. Pairs nicely with my insulated overalls.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Jacket I Have So i recently purchased this because I didn't have any jackets to brace the cold weather, especially for walking around campus. So the jacket feels great and it is super comfortable. I love that it is not the traditional carhartt style. It is slim and stylish. I have worn it practically everyday since I have received it. It has tons of pockets for everything and the hand pockets are super comfortable and warm. I will say the one disappointment I had was that it did not keep me as warm as I had hoped for. But wearing it with a hoodie underneath and I'm comfortable. Overall this is a great purchase and a steal at the price it is at. Can't wait to wear it more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE This Jacket I originally went with the J133 but returned it due to it being way to stiff for my needs. I work a lot in the office and out on the road so I am constantly on the go. This is the perfect jacket for that. It looks good enough to be worn in the office and handles the elements great. I live in Western New York and so far we have had weather ranging from 15 degrees to 45 degrees and so far it has held up fantastically in both. Love the cuffs on the jacket and how the sleeves come down past them. The zipper is hit or miss but you can tell it is heavy duty and should break in just fine. I really cannot say enough about this coat, I am so glad I made this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very, Very Nice Jacket Everything we expect from Carhartt. Appreciate the little details like the pocket zippers that close upward, well thought out things like that. The best part is that it is soft enough that it doesn't get in the way every time I move, plus the folds and gussets at the shoulders and elbows give a huge range of movement. Runs just a trifle large - the biggest "issue" is the length of the sleeves. Even sizing-down I have to roll up the over-cuff or it falls way over my hands, but I can handle that. I've worn it in 25 degree weather and it is plenty warm for me. My son tried mine and had to buy one for himself!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this coat very much I selected that it runs large. When i say it runs large i mean slightly large. Im a small guy, 5’9 135 lbs. so it looks just a bit big on me when ordering the small size.I chose 4 stars for durability but ive only had the jacket for 2 weeks, it may be a 5 star. Seems well made. This is a very comfortable jacket. I love the way it looks, there are pockets everywhere, the sleeves wrap perfectly around my gloves, and its pretty warm. The hood is slightly large, but would pair very well with a large hat underneath. I bought this jacket for a everyday wear and i think it will be perfect. Absolutely no break in necessary, unlike my artic extreme, which is like a piece of plywood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holds true to carhartt's reputation. I've had this jacket for 3 years, and it's still in great shape. I work outdoors and live in Minnesota. Sizing is accurate, buying your shirt size should leave plenty of space for layers, no need to size up. For casual everyday wear this jacket is comfortable with a lightweight hoodie in temps from 0 - 40°F and -20 - 15°F while working. I've put it through a rinse cycle in the wash with cold water a couple of times and it still repels water well. My only complaint is that the hood fills with snow when it's not up. When the hood is up it pulls hats off my head and it's too small to accommodate a hard hat/helmet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Perfect Jacket Had been looking for a jacket with Thinsulate this bought this from Atwoods a year ago . Only recently with the current cold Texas weather which has set records of -1 and 0 it has really proven almost perfect admittedly with modest under layers. The longer sleeves with angle cut cuffs that keep the the wrists quite warm with gloves. My only minor complaint is while it is water "resistant" It is no where near could be used as a rainproof jacket after a stint of outdoor wear for a full day with sporadic rain, It finally soaked thru. Amazingly it dripped dried very fast. I fully intend to get s second jacket in case Carhartt ever decides to mistakenly stop making these coats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantasic Coat This is one of the nicest coats I've ever owned. The material feels durable yet is movable and aesthetically appealing. The full swing shoulder and elbow gussets are extremely well thought out. If there was a con it would have to be the length. I'm 5' 10'' 160lb and purchased a small. It's not a deal breaker, but I wish the front of the jacket was an inch longer. Luckily the back tappers down and doesn't show my back when I bend over or ride up. The reason why I put "runs large" is because I wear a small carhartt but a medium everywhere else. Their T shirts are the same way. My wife also loves it.
