Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the pants, but they don't last. 3 Starts for Form, Fit, and Comfort. -2 Stars for Durability. I like these pants - I bought two pairs. They are flexible and comfortable to wear. HOWEVER, I've NEVER had a pair of pants wear out at the crotch in a couple of months. Both pairs are paper-thin and tearing in the most embarrassing spot since I bought them at Christmas. I tried to put some iron-on patches to hold them together and make them last a little longer, but the seams won't hold. The knees, pockets, and everything else are all ok. I only wear them three days a week for work, mainly walking, doing maintenance as an electrician. :-/ For how much they cost, I expected better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I've been searching for the most durable, casual work pants and these are the closest to that description I have tried thus far. The sizing is spot on, the fit is relaxed but not too baggy. I think the weight of the rugged flex canvas is sufficient for medium-duty labor. One feature that differs from the product photo on the website is the belt loops. There are 7 in the picture but in reality there are only 5. This is a bummer because these pants were almost perfectly comfortable but now, I struggle with the pants bunching up under my belt on either side of the middle-back belt loop. These pants would be perfect if they were as pictured.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loved them...while they lasted I first got a pair of these pants about 7 months ago. Instantly loved the fit, quality and functionality of them so I ordered another pair in a different color. The second pair fit completely different than the first (very baggy, waist bigger despite being the same size), so I wore the first pair the most. Here I am 7 months later, and the crotch seam has ripped. Not in the gusseted area, but directly behind. I wanted to get another pair of these, but I just can’t justify it when they don’t even last a year. I wear these to and from work, so they don’t even see any abuse. Definitely surprised as I was under the impression Carhartt was built to last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pants good, Knee pads - not so much pants I have had for several months. Comfortable, pretty durable, Easy to wear. Got the knee pads specifically for these pants thinking this would be great to have built in. This is a nice thought, however a little more thought could be put into these. When I kneel down the pad is not under my knee making this kind of cumbersome. When I do put them in I just have to make sure when I kneel down I pull the pant legs up and to one side or the other to get coverage every time. Not a deal breaker but just awkward and cumbersome to utilize like I believe they were intended. Wouldn't waste time on them again for the expense of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants but knee pads don’t work I first got the shorts version of these pants, and lived in them all summer for work and everyday wear. Loved the shorts so much had to get these pants . They run a little bit bigger then the shorts in the waist for me. I’m 5’7” 195lbs average male, and wear 36x30 , fit was good. Feel comfort and quality was spot on. Got the knee pads to go with these pants for work. Major design flaw here being to low. The double knee stops very low and that’s what holds up knee pad in place. Well the knee pads act as shin pads , and do not work at all. Good idea but I don’t think anyone actually tried them on to test out. Still love the pants comfort style and look.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sadly disappointed with my favorite Brand I got the same size 32x30 Double knee pants that I’ve bought for the last 20 years. For some reason they completely changed the material and how much smaller the same size I bought in 2019 is to 2020 to 2021. I like how the stretch material lets you breathe and not tears the first time you bend down to pick something up. I just fell in love with the Charhartt pants I got in the past and will probably look for a new work pants brand because Charhartt has been worth spending a little more for a great product and that is no longer true which sadly is a disappointment after 20+ Years of being a dedicated costumer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very durable. I bought them primarily to hike and climb in, they fit nice, I’m 5’9” and a 31waist 32 length was just a little long at the ankle but fit well. I found that the seems cake loose in the crotch, all along the inside of the leg seam on the external of the pant, and even a long seam came undone inside the pant, my toe caught it while putting them and and ripped more the thread out. I went hiking just the other day, literally a flat walk, nothing hard, and now there’s a hole, possibly from climbing down a 3 foot steep dirt hill. Not very durable as lots of wear and tear has shown up without much work, nor have I worn these very much. And they stretch but it’s nothing to marvel at.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from rugged flex double front I have been wearing carhartt's for 35 years. i wear the washed duck double fronts in the winter which are very durable thick and warm. I wore the canvas double fronts in the summer , thinner, cooler and were of great quality. but carhartt decided to discontinue them and replace them with the rigby rugged flex. To be honest the rigby flex double fronts are very comfortable and cool in the summer, but the quality compared to the canvas double fronts doesnt compare. but with that said i will continue to wear the rigby double fronts in the summer , but please carhartt bring the canvas double fronts back out. you still make the canvas pants just not the canvas double fronts. Thanks Jeff

HOW to MEASURE
NATURAL WAIST: Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Please note this may not be the smallest point.

HIP / SEAT: Measure at the fullest part of your hips, approximately 8" below the natural waist.

INSEAM: Measure from your crotch down to the desired length on body. You may also measure pants that you currently own and like. Lay the garment flat and smooth out. To get the inseam length, measure on the front from the crotch point, along the seam, to the hem.

NOTES
For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.

If your measurement falls between sizes, buy the larger size.
