Rated 3 out of 5 by HeathirP from Great pants runs small and a little short Definitely run small. In all the other women’s pants I’m a 2 tall with room. I was so excited to get these but couldn’t get them up passed my butt and they were very tight in the legs. Length was also somewhat shorter than expected but not awkwardly short of that makes sense? Wranglers size 1 slim fit in 34” length fit me just right so I thought these would be just fine but when carhartt says slim I guess they mean it! Returned, but ordering in a 4. The color is really pretty, they def have that good quality that we’ve all come to expect, and I’m excited to get them in my appropriate size! For reference, I’m 5’6” 135lbs with a slim but athletic/muscular figure

I got them to use as my "bushwhacking pants" because I was sick of getting slapped by twigs and thorns when we hike or walk the dog in the woods. They've been much more comfortable than athletic leggings for that purpose! I chose the Tarmac color because I figured that would be better than black for looking for ticks. Overall I'm very happy. They aren't my style for day-to-day wear but are certainly comfortable enough for it. The secret pocket fits my phone- someone was finally listening when they heard women demand REAL POCKETS! No short supply here, the front, back, and hidden pockets all have plenty of room!

Rated 4 out of 5 by KB239 from Carhartt struggles with sizing, but decent fabric [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: I like the brown/green/gray color, the mostly cotton fabric, and the flexibility of these pants. It's nice to have a thicker material for work, while still having a sleek fit. I also like the mid-rise--it hits my waist just right without being too high. That said, there could be some improvements: The bad: I know these are a skinny pant, but a smidge more room around the calves and ankle would be an improvement (to avoid the awkward yanking just to get them off!). Also, Carhartt just seems to struggle with women's' shapes and sizing. I'm usually an 8/10 depending on the brand, but took these in a 10. I ordered both a 10 and a 12. I have an athletic/straight build, and found the 10 to be way tight across the hips (waist was okay), and the 12 very problematically loose. I wore the pair of 10s for a day, washed them (air dried) and wore again, and they are the correct size. They stretch just a bit but don't lose their shape, and after a day of wear are perfect for me. I know I had a hard time figuring out sizing when I ordered these, so hopefully this is somewhat helpful. I'm 5'8" with an athletic build, 150lbs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Howard from Sizing needs work. So far pant sizing for Carhartt has been extremely difficult. In some pants, my normal size fits for the first few wears and then they bag out...For these it was really frustrating that i had to go a whole 2 sizes up just to get them on past my thighs and fasten them! I'm usually a size 10 and when I got them in this size, I could not pull them on past mid thigh. It was so frustrating I just gave up and bought from another brand. It's hard enough finding durable well made pants with real pockets as a woman, it's annoying that sizing has to be such an issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by nickname from No stretch. Loose around the waist. Tight on the thighs. These pants fail the squat test. I'm 5'4" 110lbs, bought the size 2. My thighs and butt are a bit thick I guess, but not huge.. I'm pretty average. My waist is on the thinner side. I can't even bend my knees in these pants, they're so tight. The fabric isn't stretchy at all. I can't size up because the size 4 will be way too loose on the waist. Even the size 2 is a bit too loose, I constantly have to pull my pants up even with a belt on. At the end of the day, the fabric feels like it's been stretched out and thinned... Probably because they're too tight. Not sure why they designed them to fit like skinny jeans, these are WORK PANTS... Sizing is super weird... fabric isn't stretchy. Wish they used the thicker fabric. That stuff is great.

I would definitely recommend ordering based on your measurements rather than "typical pants size". While quite tight, and a tad rigid, at first the pants have a short break in period to get to your perfect everyday snug but flexible fit. Rugged and flexible while still allowing for some shape. For personal preference I will be sizing down one with my next purchase to a 10. A bit warm and clingy in 90 degree sunny weather.. but what's not at that point?

Rated 1 out of 5 by MARCIAH from Not for the even slightly "over-inflated" gal. So sad. So sad. I was excited to try these on a TSC. The fit and design are all wrong. The cut on the fitted leg is for someone that is pencil thin. The fabric being a little stretchy wants to go back to where it started. What does that mean? You will always be hiking and pulling these pants back up. Too bad. The extra features that these offer with the extra pockets were exciting. Hopefully you will rethink your design and offer a boot cut for those women that may be a little "over-inflated."

Rated 5 out of 5 by RCLady from Not bad, y’all. Lovely pant for the most part! The materials al is about as thick as you can get n a woman’s pant - they feel sturdy as well as comfortable. IMO, they still run a bit large like most of Carhartt’s products but likely the truest to size item I’ve bought from them. Pockets are full sized which is nice and overall these pants look nice. PLEASE keeping making them like this AND more colors! Burgundy! I am 120 5’5 and wear a 2 with a bit of wiggle room in waist and thighs.

NATURAL WAIST: Bend side to side and find the natural bend in your body; this is your natural waist. Please note this may not be the smallest point.

HIP / SEAT: Measure at the fullest part of your hips, approximately 8" below the natural waist.

INSEAM: Measure from your crotch down to the desired length on body. You may also measure pants that you currently own and like. Lay the garment flat and smooth out. To get the inseam length, measure on the front from the crotch point, along the seam, to the hem.

For best results measure over your undergarments. Use a cloth measuring tape.
