Love these shorts + suggested tweaksCute shorts that fit well. Bought a M and they fit well, slightly loose with stretchy bathing suit material. I usually wear M or L bottoms depending on brand. I love that there are slash pockets and a small zip pocket! The thing I am disappointed about is that I got the poppy pattern and the liner is white. So when you lift your leg or sit, you can see the bright white liner poking out! I got shorts for extra coverage, so I would much prefer to have the liner in the same pattern. It would be good if the liner was made a bit higher waisted to, then you could choose to hike them up a bit higher, or sit lower. Will probably wear for regular shorts too.

So perfect!I spent a long time searching for the perfect swim bottoms. I wanted something with a high waistband and no cheekiness, but for it to still look like a proper swimsuit. These shorts are the answer! They have a wide, high waistband and provide full coverage without feeling frumpy. Other reviews stated that these run large, so I ordered a small. I’m 5’6” 137 lbs and wear a size 6. The small fits perfectly—maybe a touch loose in the waist, but not enough to merit exchange. They are lined, so if the short flaps up, nothing is exposed. The pockets are a plus and don’t add bulk to the silhouette. These will be great for playing with my children in the water!

Will Probably ReturnI purchased these for a trip to Maui where we are pretty active - hikes/walks, paddle boarding, running into town for poke :). I wanted something versatile to go straight from swim to errands. Was disappointed in two aspects of the fit -- the waist band is very thick and not that comfy, and the back area of the legs is super loose and flares out. I do not have skinny thighs, I'm fairly fit with strong legs, and these look sort of silly on the back side. I ended up not wearing them in Hawaii. Looking more closely at the pics in the catalog, I can see they flare on the models, too.
I will either return them or have a tailor tighten up the leg openings a bit.

Love but needs a waist tie!!I really like these but for one major and one minor issue. Major problem is there is no waist tie, and so you either have to get them uncomfortably tight (the mediums I returned) or figure out a way to keep the next size up from riding down while swimming - I may create an internal tie by cutting holes and threading something through the waistband to help keep them on. Three minor issue is the rubber along the legs of the built-in underwear. Why are we spending time keeping it on our legs but not our waist??

runs very large, inconsistent sizing between bottoms stylesI bought these in a small and a stinson bottom in a small. The stinson felt two sizes too small and this lorenzo short felt two sizes too large. It was about 3 inches too wide in the waist and fell off when I tried it on. The shorts were cute, but the fits of these bathing suit bottoms is terrible. FYI, I am 5'5" and 110 lbs, hips 35 and waist 25. I usually wear a small in bathing suit bottoms.

Grip tape is a deal breaker for meI have a very similar version of Carve Design swim shorts that I love. I thought these were the same - except for the grip tape. It's goes completely around the panty legs, and I find it annoying and also irritating on my skin. Otherwise, they are a great fit - high enough for not-perfect mom tummy - and nice alternative to bikini bottoms. The fabric is high quality, too.

Last year Lorenzo shortI bought this bottom last year and it was so much more comfortable than this year's. The added front pockets, the uncomfortable tape in the undershort and the elastic in the waist band make this year's short so much more uncomfortable. I would love it if you would offer last year's short again. It was perfect. I am sending back the one I ordered this year.

Great for the active person!These shorts are cute and definitely stay in place in and out of the water. I’ve worn them bike riding, kayaking, sailing, and paddle boarding. However, the waist band likes to twist around itself - that’s the only complaint I have. It’s relatively easy to unroll but I’m sure a little rework on that part of the short would get a 5 star review!
