I am 5’6” athletic hourglass build, 15 pounds overweight but still very active and these shorts are great! The stretch helps, they are soft. I have size 16, waist is a little big (which usually is my problem with pants and shorts—I need room for butt and legs but hourglass waist doesn’t exist in clothing anymore!). Patagonia pants/shorts never fit me due to this reason—meant for boy figures. AND I love that these shorts are not high waisted, anyone with a fat belly does not do well with high waisted anything! Thx ladies for making shorts for women!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, so good So far, so good. I was relying completely on reviews to buy these shorts and am adding my own here to keep that chain going for others! The shorts are nice quality, the sizing is definitely one size off (so go down one size from your normal), and the colors are great. I got both olive (which is more like a light green and will be a good neutral) and dark fawn (which is totally a dark purple, yay!) I haven’t had them long so can’t talk about longevity or how they wash/wear over time. The length (6”) is just right. And pockets! (Back ones fit my iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is a big chunker)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice short sizing is larger so purchase smaller. I love the carve Oahu short. Hence I have 6 pair. The weight of the cord is fantastic. I like that they have stretch. And the colors are fabulous. I will note that the price is steep so I have made sure to make my purchases during a sale. Ultimately though, my reason for the 4 ⭐️ rather than 5 is sizing. A high rise style in zero fits perfectly while the regular in the same size has you swimming in them. Too big to wear. I’d say their regular is more like a 4. Something for those size 0 to think about.

I have several pair of the Oahu 4” but have gained some weight so decided to try the 6” (in a larger size):( I did a size 12 for a bit of comfort since they can be belted. Absolutely LOVE them! Fit perfectly and such comfy corduroy! You would think they would be hot in the summer but, no! Give them a try - they will be your new favorite. I bought the Olive and Cloud which are great because they are basic, solid colors that go with everything!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit and sizing not a slam dunk [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit is not a slam dunk for me. I got a size 6 in a light green and it was tight, booty short feel. Then I ordered the size 8 in fawn and it fits in the leg but loose around the waist. I want something in between these two size feelings. I’m 5’10’, athletic build, and am a size 4 in the Carson Jean. So just not sure about what’s going on with the sizing of these shorts. I love the material and the look of these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing runs big I ordered 3 pairs of Oahu shorts (both the twill and corduroy-type) using the size chart which suggested size 4 based on sizes I wear from other brands (I'm 5'4", 118 lbs). Every item seemed to be good quality, but they were all huge in the waist. The sizing was way off (on every item, not just shorts - also sweaters and several kinds of tops) so I had to return/exchange everything. It may work better to order a size or two smaller than their size chart suggests.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love these shorts. The I love these shorts. The colors are great the material is soft and amazing to wear. I bought 13 pairs. The only reason I did not give the shorts 5 stars is because I would love to see a tad bit of stretch in the waist band. As you can see it did not stop me from buying, but that is the only thing that keeps them from being sheer perfection. Also, love the 6 inch inseam. Also, size down for a fitted look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love the shorts but I love the shorts but the sizing is waaaaay off. I’m a 6. Pretty much straight across the board. 5’8”, 135lbs. I used to be an 8 in the 90’s before sizing got all wacky but these shorts were too big even in size 4. I returned them and got a size 2 and they fit well. I am by no means a 2. What size does someone who is 5’2” and 110 lbs wear? I love the hot pink color and the new longer length is nice!
