So Beachy!Very cute, I get lots of compliments on the beachiness of these shorts. As someone who is pretty pale, I didn't think white shorts would look good on me, but they somehow actually make my legs look tanner.
This style runs a bit bigger than the other thicker corduroy Oahu shorts. This material is a lighter twill. In the corderoy Oahu shorts I wear size 6, and in these twill Oahu shorts a size 4. For reference I'm almost 5'8", 130# - 135#.
Even tho Carve is more of a Junior's brand, the sizing is more Women's I'm noticing across all garments. Otherwise great fit & high quality. I like how Carve offers unique seasonal colors too. :)

Great lightweight short[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Oahu 4” twill short in size 6. I have a few pairs of the corduroy version in size 6, which I loved so wanted to give the twill a try. They are light & comfortable with more stretch than the corduroy. However, I had to size up to an 8 b/c the twill seems to run smaller. They also came w/ lots of horizontal creases in the front. Not sure if that’s intentional or if these had been returned by someone previously. I’m not a huge fan of the creases so I hope they’ll flatten out in the wash. That’s the only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars.

Super bummed about the fitI had high hopes for these shorts - the red color was so nice and they were very soft and seemingly stretchy. I usually wear a 14, so that is the size I ordered. Although I got them on and buttoned, my thighs looked like sausage crammed into a casing - not a flattering look. I feel like Carve Designs caters to people who are active and enjoy the outdoors. As such, I wish that 1.) they created more size inclusive sizing and 2.) that they designed shorts and pants for woman with thicker thighs, a common physical attribute of active women. Had I been able to size up, I would have re-ordered the larger size.

These were my absolute favorites! Has the sizing changed?As an unwavering "Consignment Queen" I never buy full retail BUT I could tell the Oahu shorts would be perfect for my height and build, and so I allowed my husband to treat me to a pair last birthday. I was right: the slight stretch (no more baggy butt) and not-tight waistline (I am not curvy, and can't stand a tight waist) and slightly low rise, along with the perfect length (not short, not long) all came together to become my favorite shorts. This year again for my birthday, my second pair! Both are size zero (I'm 5'4", 107 pounds) but my new coral ones are too big. My weight remains the same. I've washed them in warm water 3 times and they look slightly better but are still loose enough to not be flattering. I'm wondering if your sizing has changed. Is a 00 coming in the future? 4 stars still because I love my last-year's pair so much, and the coral color is gorgeous.

The Perfect Short!The color is beautiful and so versatile, perfect length, even for the well over 40 crowd, true to size. I read they run big so ordered a 6, but felt a little too snug in the backside and thighs for what I wanted. 8 was perfect in the thighs, waist and backside for a slightly relaxed fit. If you’re in between sizes, I’d recommend to go with the larger unless you want fitted. Now I want every color!

Amazing shorts!!!!!These shorts are beyond fabulous!!! They were sold out of the 10’s so I tried the 8’s....they are just a tad too small so I’ll have to wait for the restock. I love the material, color, quality——please get these back in stock ASAP!!!! I live in AZ and the twill will be perfect!! I want them in every color!
Reference....I’m 5’ 11” , 165 a size 8 typically but 10 on bottom because I’m muscular!!!!

These were great shorts exceptThese were great shorts except for the fact that there was a big waist gap for me. Unfortunately I have a small waist and wider hips and butt that makes finding shorts and pants hard. I also bought these in a size smaller than the high rise jean shorts and these were much bigger for a smaller size which was weird? The jeans shorts worked out well though instead of these.

I love the color ofI love the color of these (cilantro), but wish they fit more like the cord version or the Maui, with some stretch. I ordered a 6, and they fit a little tighter than size 6 Ohau cords or size 6 Maui. The hem at the legs rolls up after washing and drying which is a bit of a pain, especially since this isnt required for the other two styles of shorts previously mentioned.
