Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective

Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective
Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.

Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these coats for my two boys who are 7 and 10. One in super blue, collegiate navy and one in collegiate Navy. These coats are awesome! They are not bulky so my kids can play freely but they keep them warm even in very cold weather. We live in Vail, Colorado and my boys have even worn these skiing! They never complain anymore about having to wear their coats which as a mom of boys is a huge win! The extra small fits my 7 year old perfect. He is a smaller 7, about 40 pounds and 43 inches tall. My 10 year old is smaller as well and the small fits him. He is 46” and 60lbs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Zippered Pockets [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The description states the coat has "Zippered hand pockets add warmth and utility..." The pockets are NOT zippered which was a quality I was in searching for. This is the second Columbia coat I have purchased that described the coat as having zippered pockets and it does not. The first one was purchased from another company and was returned. I thought maybe purchasing from the manufacturing company would help. Needless to say, I'm a bit disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a WINNER!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased two of these jackets for our great-nephews (twins) who live in a cold, snowy midwestern state. We could not be happier with them, nor could their mom and dad! The size guide is so helpful - they were just the fit we wanted. Additionally, these jackets are super warm, but not as bulky as some...something that was important to dad for outdoor play/fun, and to mom who often has to deal with car seats and tighter spots! There is a nice color selection, and we also purchased matching fleece jackets, which were also a big hit! Can't say enough about Columbia quality and durability!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grandson likes it My 8 year old grandson wanted a jacket like mine - with the shiny interior, less bulk, and the thumb holed wrist warmers. Like me, he is short and thick around the waist - so hard to fit since kids clothes do not come in a petite and husky sized clothes are hard to find. I tried this jacket for him, hoping that Columbia had cut the jacket a little boxier than other manufacturers. He likes it - could get it on (with no room for layers which was fine) and if he hiked it up in back when he sat down since yes it's too long. I left off the 5th star because the kid jacket does not include the wrist warmers. Happy with this purchase and other Columbia I have bought for myself: cut for regular people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For a boy that hates coats... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in the mountains of PA and my youngest hates coats. He says they make him hot and don't fit in his locker. If you have a kid like my son, this is the code for you. Incredibly warm and stylish, my fashionista son loves the lining, this coat is light and rolls up tight. The collegiate navy with gold lining is gorgeous. We cannot be happier to have found a coat my son will actually wear without a battle. We have had some issues with Columbia zippers recently, so only time will tell, but it seems durable so far!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed When this coat came in, I was so excited. I loved the colors and so did my son. It is very warm, without being too bulky. We live in KY, so we have only had a handful of days where he has had to wear this coat. Sadly, several of the teeth on the zipper have popped off already...causing the supper to come off when you try to sip up. So disappointed. I bought a size big enough to last him a couple of years...but now I already need to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for cold weather I bought this for my son to last two winters and it held up great. Winters are in the teens to 30s where we leave. Sometimes in the single digits. He never complained of being cold. Definitely going to buy this coat again for this winter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable. Holes after 1st wear. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this jacket when I purchased it. My son wore it to school just once and I noticed tears (with the insulation coming out) under both of the front pockets. The damage extends down into the body of the coat. I’m very disappointed with the quality of this item, normally Columbia’s quality is much better! If it can’t stand up to one day in school I can only imagine what a day of sledding or outside play would do.
