Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful shirt, runs large I like the feel of the construction, but it's definitely large (in size large, at least). I'm a 42 chest, and 34 waist for pants. 5'10 200lbs. This shirt looks like I either lost a ton of weight, or I am a kid wearing my father's shirt. The waist is enormous, and I could probably gain 80lbs and still fit this shirt. I'm planning on reordering in medium. For reference, I have a large Tamiami II, which is supposed to be the same size and fit as this one, but it fits my shoulder much closer. The waist is not very tailored, but it's not supposed to be. It looks relaxed without being stylish exactly, and fits far more acceptably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shirt I really like this shirt because i wear it when red Salmon Fishing and am able to stuff the pockets with additional pre-tied leaders and there is a pocket for the license one for the lead weights, one for the leatherman needle nose, one for the micra scissors and you do not have to leave your spot on the river when the sockeye break you off, even though they are around 8# and you are using 40# leaders. When you are able to get a spot you do not want to have to leave to retie. This shirt is a tackle box in its self. I really do like it. Great shirt design and made. I also like all of the colors available. I think that I bought most of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Photographers Dream Shirt This is a shirt that every photographer needs ever time he/she goes out to shoot. The shirts are wonderfully comfortable and extremely functional. The small pocket on the right side will hold several memory cards. the larger pocket above with hold filters, lens caps, and lens cloths. The left hand pocket system has a perfect place for your glasses and next to that is a great slot for a pen or a penlight when shooting in low light. The pocket above that is again a great storage place for all the things we need and use on every shoot. If you want to roll your sleeves up there is a nice button down strap inside the sleeve to keep them from falling down when you are really on the go. This is a must for every photographer on the go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Stiff/Runs Large [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material in the shirt is crazy stiff. When I try to wear it to the office and tucked in, it sorta forms a balloon around me (it won't "relax" or fall down around me). Maybe it'll break in after a while. It's also very large around the middle. Normally a small is snug and a medium is loose-fit for me; I tried a medium first and I was swimming in it. Small is still rather large on me. At least the sleeve length is okay. Even with the small I could smuggle out a medium sized dog under the shirt. It's an okay shirt if I wear it untucked and sleeves rolled up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Three Fishing Shirts Compared Couldn't decide between: - Bahama II; - Tamiami II; and - Bonehead So I bought one of each. Each has excellent points and trade-offs. Tamiami is the softest, coolest & most comfortable. The fabric is so soft it has little structural stability. It looks frumpy and messy. That said, if I was using this for fishing in hot weather & didn't care about looking sharp, this would win hands down. Bahama holds its shape, looks great & dries very fast. It holds heat more than the others, and, while comfortable, is the least comfortable of the three. If I was looking for a shirt for travel to a warm climate where I needed to wash it in my hotel room, wear it the next day, and still look sharp, this is the winner. Bonehead is cotton poplin. In the middle of the three in terms of comfort & coolness. Holds its shape & looks good, but not as fast drying. Benefits from a quick once-over with an iron. For my purposes I bought four more in various colors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from way to big I bought this shirt for my husband's birthday. He already had a shirt like this but wore it for so many years it started to tear. Not knowing I had ordered this shirt, the day before his birthday he went to a boating store in Portland and bought another Columbia PFG white shirt for himself, size large. The shirt was very similar in appearance but it was a true size large. We thought he could keep both shirts but opened this shirt and it was at least six inches wider. It was giant!! wow. I was going to take the shirt back but we have a friend, who is x large and loves to sail so we will give the shirt to him. We love this style shirt but the sizing was so far off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big and wrinkly I purchased three large shirts blue, yellow and green. Shirts are made in India; there were a few loose threads but nothing that compromised the integrity of the shirt. These shirts run big. I ordered the large, lots of room. I spent my first day in 103 degree sun on a dry lake bed for 6 hours and they performed well. I would have given 5 stars but the fact that it runs big and the fact that they need to be ironed. Extreme wrinkles not my favorite thing to do. Just washed them and air dried. The Velcro seems to be holding. I might replace the Velcro with snaps if it ever becomes a problem. I will purchase more as gifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "Go To" Shirt [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing Columbia "Bonehead" shirts longer than I care to admit. They are the most comfortable shirts I have ever worn. I choose the long sleeve version because, even in sunny Florida it gets chilly. The shirts pack easily for trips and stay ready to wear, in spite of the abuse of my travels. I have even worn a "Bonehead" with a tie on occasion. Hated to do it, but it was a requirement to get in the place. I even wore a dark blue "Bonehead" at my wedding. Keep up the good work and keep making the "Bonehead" shirts. Since my surgery, I have moved from 3XL to XL. Folks at the Hospice store love me and encourage me to loose more.. Be Well, Greg

How large is the largest pocket?

Asked by: vivi
Thanks for the question! We did check with Columbia to get the correct dimensions for you. The top right, top left, and lower left pockets all have an individual length of 4.5 inches. The lower right (smaller) pocket has a length of 2.75 inches. Both sides in total (stacked) are 7.75 inches. I hope this information helps a little!
