Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective

Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective
Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.

Columbia Omni-Tech

Columbia Omni-Tech
The waterproof, windproof and breathable technology for getting outdoors in wet and windy conditions. Your body heat escapes while rain can't come inside. Sorta magical, but mostly just science.

Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best jacket I ever had. Purchased in 2008 Bugaboo, still like new! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this jacket is incredible. I bought it to go to the UK during Christmas 2008, where I walked in the rain and cold for most of my stay, without feeling it thanks to it. Since then I have used it in the bitter Chicago winter, in the Smoky Mountains, on the NC beaches for 4wd and winter walking on the sand, with Willow, my dog. Also to work on the roofs of buildings with a lot of wind and with all the comfort of movement that a technician in industrial equipment needs, etc. I still have it and despite dozens of washes, it's still like new. I love this jacket, I'm glad they continue to make it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shell system This is a rugged and comfortable jacket for most seasons. I'm an arborist, and have been wearing it while working in woods & thicket. Holds up and keeps the wind off. I was in 12°F and windy the other day, and had to keep opening the neck up to let hot air out. 40°F the its perfect as an all weather windbreaker. A few things "would be nice" more pockets, bigger left breast for glasses/goggles 2way zipper for The Nessesary both in the woods or standing in a restroom. Unzipping the bottom helps with heat regulation The bottom gather cord needs to be housed in the jacket somehow. It keeps getting caught on shrubs and truck parts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality waterproof jacket i purchased this as a ski/snowboard jacket for my teenage son. the fabric is waterproof and feels substantial. The left breast pocket is slanted for easy access and all pockets have zipper with velco for extra security. the hat is zippered and the end flaps are tucked into a small pocket so it stays neatly away. the fleece liner feels more like felt, but it may be due to new fabric technology...it's less bulky which is probably better. the inner fleece does have snaps at the cuff and neck. the only thing i would suggest is to have the fleece arms elasticized. overall, i think its a great jacket and am very happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket, runs large [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice design for the jacket, and well-made. Materials are nice, and it kept me warm on a chilly night recently. I love the Interchange feature, allowing me to swap liners or remove the liner for a thinner shell or warm fleece. One thing I ran into, though, was that I typically wear a large. And the large size in this jacket ran quite large on me. I also ordered the Summit Crest III jacket in a large size, and that one was a much better fit. I then returned the Bugaboo for a medium size, and that's a little snug, but a better fit than the large. So, just be aware that sizing may vary a bit. Not sure if I got a mis-labeled XL, but the large ran big on me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm but not Heavy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a "heavy" winter jacket this one is surprisingly light, but extremely warm. Plus, the underlying fleece is actually good looking enough to wear on it's own. It has all the other stuff you would expect. Pockets and the like. A hood that most people will just take off and lose. That sort of stuff. Only complaint is that, unlike all my other XL Columbia gear, this XL is huge to the point my wife told be to size down because I looked like a kid in daddy's coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item and have been thoroughly pleased. It is very warm. It's only got down to 10F since I've had it but I played a round of disc golf in it and was hot by the end. I am sure it will be plenty warm even when it gets below 0F. I've worn it in the rain and it is totally water proof. The only downside is that the inner jacket needs to be able to cinch the sleeves tighter at the cuff. When I put the coat on, the inner fleece sleeve likes to pull out farther then the outer coat. This just requires them to be pulled back in and then they are fine. It is a minor inconvenience but worth noting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket for Skiing/Snowboarding [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coat for a snowboarding trip. I have a athletic build, 5'6", 155lbs. and it's a little bulky and loose. I wore a vest and two additional layers underneath, the jacket fit comfortably but not the tighter fit like I'd prefer. This jacket may fit others better and more towards their personal preference. I recommend this coat, it offers a comfortable warm fleece lining that zips out if needed. It is waterproof and can withstand the cold! My trip started off at 8:30 in the morning. The conditions were 4 degrees and I wasn't cold at all! I recommend this product and all of Columbia's products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, warm, thin, but tight sleeves The jacket seems high quality and is decently warm, especially for how light and thin it is. This jacket replaced essentially the same model jacket for me from 10 years ago. That older jacket was warmer, but baggier. I'm 6'2" and overall it fits well with the sleeves maybe being a little long. My biggest issue with this jacket is that the sleeves are really tight and my arms aren't that big/muscular. When wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath I have a lot of trouble taking the coat off. When wearing a sweatshirt or sweater it is very difficult to get my arm all the way through and even harder to get it off. I'm hoping with time it will soften/loosen and be easier to get off.
