Columbia Omni-Wick Evap
A moisture wicking technology to keep you dry and comfortable, even as you sweat. The special fabric pulls the moisture from your skin, then spreads it out over a large surface area, allowing it to evaporate faster.
The waterproof, windproof and breathable technology for getting outdoors in wet and windy conditions. Your body heat escapes while rain can't come inside. Sorta magical, but mostly just science.

Great RaincoatI bought this for my bf who walks and takes the BART into SF for work everyday. He didn't need something really warm, just something to keep him dry and cut the wind chill. He's between sizes (3-4x) and we went with the 4x. It wasn't excessively big but he still has room to layer should he need to. The moisture wicking material was a big plus as his previous windbreaker (not waterproof) used to make him sweat, a lot. This jacket has really cut down on the excessive sweating and protects him from the SF weather. This is our first Columbia purchase and we highly recommend!

Great rain jacketJust got this jacket in the Green. I've really enjoyed it so far, and even took on a trip to climb Mt. St. Helens. I stayed very dry - and being able to pack up the jacket into it's pocket was a great feature to have when I didn't need to wear a shell. The hood was easy to adjust when it got windy - and I felt comfortable throughout the day, so I'm a believer in the EVAP. I really like the waterproof front zipper - and how it has a bit of a shine to it. Gives it a nice look rather than a storm flap. Bought the women's model for my fiance and she has really enjoyed it too!

Great utilityAt 6'3" & 250ish it can be rough to find good outdoor gear. This jacket is good. It's plenty long enough in the torso and arms even for my ape torso. There's A LOT of room to layer under it. It's not obnoxiously baggy, however it is baggy. It works well for many different activities so far. It's a good option for mountain biking as the arms are long enough and coverage good. As with any unlined jacket it can feel clamy if you're in short sleeves, but if you don't expect that from an unlined jacket...

Settled For EVAPOURATION Jacket TallI bought this jacket as a second choice to replace another Columbia Aqua-Tech Jacket that I'd had for years, which was finally replaced under the Life-time Warranty (GREAT Warranty Service!).
I say I "settled" for this jacket because what I really wanted was the POURATION Jacket, but it was not available in Tall sizes.
Disadvantages of EVAPOURATION Jacket: Lacks the additional exterior breast-height zipper pocket that I made so much use of on my last jacket. Also, once you end up in the Tall sizes the color selection is greatly diminished.
Conclusion: Will it do what I need it to? Yes, pretty much, but without some of the features, especially that breast-high pocket, that I really wanted.

AWESOME RAIN JACKETI rate the jacket as tue to size because in all Columbia Sportswear I size an XXL. I read other reviews which criticized the jacket for single zipper and seams neither of which were the case with my jacket. I walk for my exercise and it kept me dry but breathable during the first Pacific NW major storm of winter 2014. I pair the jacket with the Men's PFG Hydro Tech Packable Rain Pant it looks great in orange jacket and black pants. This is another high quality Columbia Sportswear product. I really cannot find other products that compare to what Columbia offers.

Wrong color[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very satisfied with the quality, fig and look of this jacket. The only problem is that it does not look like the picture of it on your website.
I ordered a “Cypress” colored jacket, with a bright orange zipper, but received a jacket that is what I would call Army fatigue green (think MASH) with the same color zipper.
I would not have ordered this if I had known how plain the colors are. I did expect to receive a jacket resembling the photograph on the website.
I had read a review regarding this problem, but I assumed it would have been corrected.
I just as wrong.

Looks smart, but functions poorAlthough this garment looks nice and smart, it is not for active outdoor use. It does not breath, and you get soaked when you do even a mild outdoor activity. Moreover, it is not durable at all. I have worn mine just a few times, and the inner lining began to peel away as seen in the photo. In my humble opinion, it is not a piece of outdoor clothing, merely a casual urban rain jacket.

Down Pour Proof[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in Georgia rain can come at any moment, this jacket can handle any storm you throw at it. I have worn this jacket along with the Columbia rain pants in Hurricane weather the past two years and made it back inside dry as a bone. I gave it a good on the function because it can get wet on the inside from your own sweat. The jacket is very water tight but that also makes it keep in your moisture. I'm currently buying a second jacket to keep at work I love it that much. I am 5'11 200lb, I bought the XL. The XL is big on me but I use it during the winter to wear winter clothes under it. I'm sure the L would fit perfect.
