Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective

Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective
Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.

The waterproof, windproof and breathable technology for getting outdoors in wet and windy conditions. Your body heat escapes while rain can't come inside. Sorta magical, but mostly just science.

Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good jacket overall [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket for a warm, lightweight winter jacket. This is the first winter I've had it and so far it has performed well, although our coldest days are yet to come. What I really like is that it doesn't weigh me down and I never feel too warm with it on. What I don't like is the small hood. It doesn't block wind, rain or snow coming from the sides. It also isn't lined which to me, makes it not very good for cold weather. Maybe if it was larger and had the Omni-heat liner in it it would be a stellar performer. Just a little food for thought Columbia. Otherwise it's a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good except Hood & Zipper Overall very happy with the coat. Numerous pockets are excellent. Very good in cold and wet conditions. I have received a several complements on its look as well. I do have two complaints/recommendations to improve it: 1) The hood is very large and comes down over your eyes regardless of how you adjust it. I'm now wearing a ball cap to keep it up so it doesn't cover my eyes. A simple adjustable strap on the top back of hood is all that would be needed to fix this. 2) The jacket is longer than many, that is a really good thing, but sitting down or in the car it bunches up a lot. A dual zipper that can open from the bottom would fix that. These two fixes would make this the perfect coat. With that said, I still think it is very good and recommend it as is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great jacket. Keeps me very warm and looks really stylish. It has a whole bunch of pockets and they arei in just the right locations for comfort and functionality The only two complaints I have are small and those are that the size runs a bit large, so I probably should’ve gotten a small instead of a medium (but they didnt have any in the store to try on) and the hood blocks a little bit of my vision from the top when the hood is up. I wish the hood had a little more stiffness to it so that it would stay up all the way above my sight lines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an incredibly nice and warm jacket. I was looking for something very warm to wear to work at the Bank. I got the package and was alarmed at the lack of insulation bulk. The shell material looks dressy but is very tough, has rip stop construction when you look closely. I tried it outside...this jacket is really warm!!! I have worn it two days in 0°-6° breezy weather, with just a dress shirt underneath, it is not just adequate, it is toasty!!!! Warmer than many down parkas I have had! Thanks, excellent jacket!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great jacket but poor hood [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jacket performs as expected. In my opinion the Omni-heat product is the best of the best. The only feature that is of poor design is the hood. I cannot put the hood on my head and see because it has no structure. It just falls over your head and covers your face, even using the drawstrings is no help. Great company, great products but look at other jackets besides this one if you need a hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Jacket ...Really Comfortable The jacket looks great and its very comfortable to wear. I'm 5 feet 8 and weigh around 130 lbs, the small size was still slightly big for me, but the sleeve length was perfect and the hood fits really well. I wear this while I travel to my office, 15 -20 min walk and I have worn it in a temperature of 15 degree F and it still keeps me warm. However, when it gets really windy, the air goes inside through the sleeves an it can get a bit chilly. You might need to add a few layers inside. But as the jacket is very roomy, you can easily add a sweater or couple of shirts inside the jacket and I normally wear a thick scarf around my neck too. It awesome when its raining or snowing as the jacket material repels all moisture. Overall the Jacket is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and fits like a glove [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this jacket is lightweight so naturally I was concerned about how warm it would be....Ive gotta tell you this is one of the best jackets I have ever owned. Its warm, lightweight, fits true, and looks great. Im 6'4" and about 270 lbs and the XLT fits me perfect. I would say if your on the fence about this jacket, its well worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great waterproof jacket The outer layer works great as a raincoat and the inner layer kept me warm on a 30-degree walk to work (I haven't tested below that). Both layers look sharp by themselves or together. Note that it runs about a size large. I wear a L in just about everything and a M fit me perfectly. My only complaint is that the sleeves are an inch too long and the hood doesn't stay in place very well without pulling the drawstrings tight.
