Fishing and Hunting
A moisture-wicking fabric for active pursuits in warm weather. It works to pull moisture away from the skin, then evaporates fast, so you remain dry for the rest of the adventure. It works just as hard as you do.
A fabric technology for the days when the sun is out and sitting inside the house isn't an option. Stay outdoors, but protected with a fabric that blocks Ultraviolet A and B rays (UVA & UVB). Prevents sunburn, without the icky sunscreen application.

Great Shirt for heat and sun - could use a couple tweaks!First off- overall- love this shirt and material. We went to Hawaii and Christmas Island and approx 20 men wore this shirt - over the course of 7 days of fishing. The material is awesome- kept them cool and comfortable in very humid and hot damp conditions - the only real complaints were two-fold....needs a tighter neck so that sun doesn't burn the back neck and where it gaps between buff and collar and also-longer sleeves- pref with a thumb hole to help shield hands and stay down over the wrists. Send love to see these improvements and would love to use and brand them with our company logo for EDGE Rods. We've been posting pics online and have gotten a lot of questions as to how to order :)

Nice shirt[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased an Omni-Freeze ZERO shirt in the vivid blue color. The color is really very nice. I ordered a large where I usually would have ordered an XL. Many Columbia hot weather shirts do run a little large but the extra room does help in the cooling process. One of the reasons I purchased this shirt was to help with sun protection and the other reason was for the cooling aspect. I give the product the highest marks in those two areas. The shirt would be appropriate for many casual uses not just for performance reasons. I plan on purchasing more of this kind.

Keeping cool in AZ[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this shirt specifically for a 24-mile rim to rim hike of the Grand Canyon in early June 2018. Temps are known to soar above 100 degrees F in the depths of the canyon.
The shirt arrived a few weeks early, so I tested it out on a training hike on a full-sun day in Phoenix with temps in the low 90s. I didn't notice much difference from any other shirt for about the first 15 minutes, but after I broke a sweat the magic happened. I really did feel noticeably cooler than normal on a hike like this.
Bottom line: I'm glad I bought the shirt and will get plenty of use out of it on my Grand Canyon hike and others I have planned around Arizona. I would recommend this shirt to anyone looking to stay cool out in the sun.

Really works!I was skeptical with this technology at first, but after a week in Cancun in July, I really can feel the difference between this shirt and another same color Columbia older model that was simply "dri-fit" style. It does keep you cooler, and the sweat evaporates quicker than most other "sweat-wicking" fabric that I ever worn in other brands. I plan to get a few more shirts with this tech. I am 5'8" and 145 lb, I got the s/p size, but it felt like a M. So, s/p was just right.

The Whole Idea...[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the outdoors. I hunt and do a little fishing. I kayak; and in the winter, I try to get in some skiing.
The summer months down south can be a bit of a problem. I've had several friends contract melanoma, and have come to the firm conviction that the sun is not always your friend.
Of course, one can smear sunscreen all over oneself, but I hate that stuff. The whole idea of this shirt is to keep you cool while keeping the sun OFF. Frankly, I don't know how much cooler than other shirts of this type it is. That's not easily quantified.
But it absolutely keeps the sun off.
And it doesn't restrict your motion while doing so.
I'm a fan.

After buying one, bought another[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spend many hours at a time, 3-4 days a week fly fishing in direct sunlight and heat. I bought this shirt at the beginning of summer to use for UV protection and it works very well for that. What I didn't expect was how good it would be for not overheating. With temps nearing 100, I was comfortable in this shirt. I liked it so much that I just bought another one. Same size, same color (cool gray).
Like any knit shirt you need to be careful of snagging the fabric. Nevertheless, I love it (them).

Ridiculously LargeThe size guide is about two sizes off for this shirt. I took my measurements, ordered one size smaller, and received a size Small that was absolutely enormous. The sleeves were about 6 inches too long and the shirt can only be described as extremely baggy. I am 5'7", 140lbs, and am confident that even an extra small would have been too big. Very disappointed since the quality of the shirt seems excellent. One thing that isn't obvious from the picture is that the shirt has a blue circle pattern printed on the inside and is rather noticeable in the white color shirt.

Great shirtI use it for tennis in the cooler weather. It really is great as it is light and easy to move with. I think it should also be good as the weather warms, since I also bought it for the sun protection, and it should be functional as the temperature gets higher.
