Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly perfect winter jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will be my 5th Columbia jacket. Living in the Northeast, was looking for a very warm, water and wind-proof jacket that I could wear for nearly all occasions and keep me warm & dry on my daily walks. Columbia has refined the reflective thermal lining, which I feel is the best technology yet invented to keep the heat on the inside and combined with 1,000 fill down in the lightest winter jacket I have ever had. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I'd like to have a detachable hood and would prefer the jacket was a couple inches longer. Otherwise, in my opinion, the best winter jacket yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really happy when I got my order. It's a very nice, comfortable, warm and light weight jacket for those who appreciate high quality stuff. I fill grate when I ware it . That same day I have ordered one more jacket and couple more items in the next several days. This purchase is worth every penny. I LOVE "COLUMBIA"!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There will never be a better jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a documentary filmmaker based in New York. I have worn this jacket in the mildest of conditions (40 degrees) all the way to shooting in the harshest conditions (-20 degrees). I swear by Columbia's Titanium line and I swear by this jacket. Not once have I EVER come close to being remotely cold. The jacket is so good, my girlfriend got the women version to match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Headzone 1000 Turbo Down II [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket fits well and built well. I am 5 ft 10 and medium fits ok. This jacket is lighter and less bulky than my Mountain Hardwear down jacket. When I just lay the jacket on top of me and use it as a blanket it is not as warm as MH jacket. However, when you wear it, your body warmth is retained by the Omni-heat 3D (the sliver layer) and it is quite warm. Overall good overcoat and you don't need to wear too much inside for below zero degree weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Warm and Comfortable I ordered this jacket just in time for a Cold Spell. The temperatures dropped to zero and wind chills were -20 F. I was outside for an hour snow blowing with the snow swirling all around. The hood was secure around my face and kept my head warm and dry. The jacket kept me very warm while I was outside. I wish I had pants and gloves made the same way. After coming back into the house the snow melted and Beaded up on the shell of the jacket. The black material is glossy and becomes more visible than I thought it would, along with the lettering being a metallic silver also adds to the visibility. I do wish they would have Reflective stripping so it would be safer at night. After the snow storm the temperatures dropped to -20 with wind chills at -50. Taking the dog for a walk (St. Bernard) for 15 – 20 minutes I was comfortable (The Dog was Happy). Later in the week we did snow shoeing for a couple of hours and I was almost too warm. There is a hidden inside pocket which is at the waist of the jacket and I wish it would have been at chest level. To get to the pocket for my wallet I need to completely unzip the jacket to access it, rather than a partial zip down to reach my wallet. The only issue I have noticed is that the Zipper doesn’t always want to start easily. It needs to be perfectly aligned. Other than that I’m very happy with the jacket and Columbia.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coat - wish they had "tall" sizes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coat - it's very warm, very comfortable, waterproof and has all the pockets etc that I need. I like the zip-able pockets so I'm never worried my wallet is going to fall out. It's perfect for the extreme outdoorsy business of waiting for buses, while not getting wet and cold. I do wish that I could have purchased a medium tall size, since I'd prefer the body to be slightly thinner, but with arms the same length as a large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket I rarely ever write a review, but I absolutely had to for this jacket. Simply put, this jacket is great. First off, the jacket is warm. I got the jacket about a week ago, and wore it for the first time during a snowstorm. It was 25 degrees outside with a real feel of 5 degrees. All I had on was a long sleeve waffle shirt, and the jacket. I was outside for about an hour and I was hot. I was sweating. The next day as the storm was winding down, it was still cold. However, all I had on was a thin long sleeve base layer shirt and the jacket. I was very warm. I was pleasantly surprised, & very happy. The jacket is also fitted so it looks nice on. It is a well designed jacket. My wife is getting tired of me saying how much I like this jacket. If you want to stay warm during these cold winter months, buy this jacket!!
