Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting Hike Shoe Just purchased these and put them to the test in the outskirts of Las Vegas. Tried them out on an 8.8 miler with over 2,000 ft in elevation gain. The trail was mostly dirt and loose rock with some scrambling on limestone. These shoes were comfortable on the terrain! I questioned the sole when I first saw it, but it didn't pretty well on the scramble with no slipping or sliding. The shoes have a very clean appearance and the laces were a perfect length for someone that likes to do a double knot. My only dissatisfaction came with the lack of arch support. I'll keep wearing the shoes in hopes of the insole molding around my feet, but the lack or arch was the main thing I noticed. Otherwise, this can be worked around with some removable insoles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trailstorm rocks! First thing I noticed was how incredibly light they are, but not in a cheap feeling way. The materials are excellent. I haven’t tried them on with thick socks, but it looks like I have room for them, if I choose. They’re warm in the cold but cool when it’s hot. Perfect! I don’t have a slim or wide foot. Fit is true to size. I used Nike’s fitting. I’ve worn the shoes around in rain and no wet feet. They’re very comfortable for walking longer distances. I really have no negatives. The only thing I can think of is the webbed material makes a bit of a rustling sound, but not much. I def recommend this shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT WATERPROOF, BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Bought these boots and on the first short hike I noticed my feet were damp. It was a real surprised because I hadn't walked through any puddles and it wasn't raining. Columbia does not make waterproof shoes, they do not use GORE-TEX membranes. I wanted to go out of way and write this so others do not make the same mistake. My dress boots are more waterproof than these boots. Its a shame because they are comfortable but even walking through the city your feet will become damp or even wet with the slightest exposure to a small puddle. They are actually worse than a regular pair of boots in my opinion because the membrane lets in everything thinking the Omni whatever technology will stop the water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT WATER PROOF I don't know if it's just some sort of coating on the shoes or what, but they were waterproof for about 3 weeks then all of a sudden my feet are soaked. I work outside and I never walk thru puddles, this is just from walking thru early morning grass. I even applied heavy duty waterproofing spray and still wet. I'm soooooo disappointed because they are comfortable once you change it the insoles.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not durable Got 3 months out of them , warehouse worker , nothing but walking

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Durability issues I’m on my third pair of the Trailstorm. They look and feel great. However, each pair that I have purchased all suffered the same fate. I developed a hole in each boot near the toe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy These shoes are comfortable, but both shoes have already ripped and frayed from less than two months of wear. I’m a ups driver, so I know I’m hard on shoes, but come on, Columbia.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof or durable! I’ve have these shoes for less than a month. First off they’re not waterproof. One walk through wet grass and my feet were soaked!! They seem to only be waterproof about an inch above the toes, but not anymore on my right shoe because that part is cracking! Secondly, the soles are getting torn up from hiking rocky trails. I figured with the name “Trailstorm” I’d be getting durable, waterproof shoes. Apparently not.
