Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweatin' In The Rain? No Worries! This rainjacket has been a top performer for me. The jacket I'd used previously for paddling was ill-fitting and made me sweat.... oh, and trapped the sweat to boot. The Arcadia II affords an unrestricted range of motion, sends sweat from hard-paddling me up and out of my jacket while keeping me completely protected from dripping cold water on either myself or from the sky. The hood is big enough to come up and over a cap (with a ski cap over *that*), which is great in a *true* deluge. The length is wonderful (about mid-thigh), the sleeves are long enough and the fit is quite flattering. I'm about 5'9" and 155 lbs, the medium was as perfect a medium as I've ever had.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Odd proportions I am so happy that Columbia carries a few items in plus sizes! I popped on this great looking rain jacket which I purchased as a shell to be worn, often, with a light polartec fleece pullover. Not so much. I am a true 2X and purchased a 3X to ensure that the jacket would be adequately roomy. The body is very roomy indeed, however it has sleeves cut so narrow that I could barely get my bare arms into them. They are perhaps 2 full sizes smaller in proportion to the body. I really want to keep this jacket, but back it goes. So disappointing. I would recommend some real models for sizing your garments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Jacket! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to take on an Alaskan cruise this summer, but have used it all summer while outside in the rain. It is great. It is breathable; I have never felt sticky in it, and it keeps me 100% dry, even when it's pouring. Obviously, my legs would get wet, but keeps me dry to my hips. I am 5'9", 155 lbs and usually wear a medium, but ordered a large because I wanted room for layers, and the size is perfect. I wear glasses, and with the adjustable hood, I can walk around in the rain without my glasses getting wet. This coat is definitely worth the money. Plus it folds small enough to put in a backpack or large purse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy, light, nice quality! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got what I wanted - fitted, not huge/shapeless, didn't need space for layers. I went back-and-forth between Small and XS for a while, but eventually went with Small - glad I did. 5'6", 120 lb, 34B with long arms, usually between a size 2-4. Doesn't look boxy, hits mid-butt, but there's still room to layer. If I'd gotten XS it might've been too short for my arms, too tight to really move at shoulders/chest. It's SO light-weight, about as noisy/crinkly as any raincoat, and super packable - I love how you can fold it down to nothing but it still feels durable, not plastic-y!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket - just get one size up I love Columbia sportswear products, and finally needed to get a new jacket after 6 years with my old one. After reading the reviews, I decided to order a couple sizes up. I usually wear an XL and sometimes a 1x. But for this jacket, I decided to order a 2x. The arm length is perfect, but the rest of the jacket is a little loose. As others stated, the waist is also not form fitting, as opposed to the photo. However, I like that the length of the jacket is longer than waist, even if it's not exactly flattering. But the jacket keeps me dry. My only complaint is that I had to order this online. I went to an outlet store, and could not find plus sizes. I would have preferred to try it on in-person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great raincoat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a good raincoat that isn’t insanely overpriced or ugly. This is a great raincoat. I ordered a size up so I could wear a heavier sweatshirt under it in the chilly spring months. Without a sweatshirt, it is big, but it doesn’t look like I’m wearing a trash bag. It is flattering even sizing up. My husband and I go to Florida frequently, so this will be good for the random spurts of rain there as well. I’m pretty excited. So excited that I ordered one for my mom for when she goes to Ireland this summer. She got one that is true to size and is excited to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Function and style I wanted a waterproof shell to wear over layers while hiking and watching outdoor sporting events. My granddaughter likes the look of it, not "grandmotherly" at all. Because it's nylon, it's "noisy" when hiking, but not too much. The sleeves are long for me, a plus since I pull them over my fists during rainy and windy weather. There are velcro tabs to pull the wrists tighter. It keeps me very warm and dry, exactly as advertised. I don't get too sweaty either. The hood works well, easily adjustable for wind gusts. The zipper pulls up and down easily, too. I would definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just received and very pleased Received my Miami color jacket today. Have been looking for light weight jacket for summer rains for a couple of years now. Finally found it! color is great, runs a little small so even though I am size S or 4, i ordered M and it fits perfectly. very light, breathable, mesh lining. Guaranteed waterproof. Hope so as i will test it at first opportunity. Long enough to cover the derriere so that you can sit down on the jacket and not get wet. short enough to be just right. The only wish i have is that it came with a built in pouch to carry around, but it does fold very small. it is very light too. Highly recommend it.

Is this a raincoat or A Winter Coat

Asked by: colley
Hi colley, good question! This is definitely just a ran jacket rather than a winter jack since there is no insulation to speak of. I hope this helps!

Does the Acadia II have any type of lining or is the exterior nylon fabric what actually touches your skin?

Asked by: Clarkston RN
Hey there, good question! There is no lining in this jacket, so the interior is just the inside of the Nylon shell. I hope this helps!

What is the sleeve length in a women’s small and medium. I’m 5ft 7 in… 115 lbs but have very long arms.

Asked by: DebHer
Hey there, thanks for your question. The sleeve length on the small is about 20"-21" and the Medium is about 21"-22" so there is only about an inch of difference in the sleeves between the sizes. I hope this helps!
