Great jacket with even better fleece material nowI have 15 Columbia jackets in all different colors that I've purchased over the years, with most of them being the Benton Springs full zip or the Benton Springs hoodie jackets. This latest version of the full zip jacket is even better than my old ones because they softened the fleece material so that it pills less and is warm and cozy to the touch. I wish all my old jackets were this soft! I'm 5'4", 115 lbs, and have a 34C bust and the extra small fits perfectly. They also nipped in the waist oh so slightly for a more feminine look and it's quite flattering. All around, a great jacket!

Better for chilly, non rainy fall/spring daysThis fit me pretty large. I usually wear a large in Columbia because I don't like my clothes skin tight. ( 5'5 -145-150lbs) but this fleece is LARGE. I went with a large because of the rating that it runs small. Well lets just say I can fit at least a couple layers and another sweatshirt underneath this fleece. Which is nice for chilly days, but it's fleece so if its raining or a very chilly wind this isn't the jacket for you!
I did like the nice large zip pockets in the front.
This jacket is ideal for me walking the dogs, because its breathable and it's also very soft and comfortable. I would definitely buy it again, just in a size smaller.

Colour per websites are not trueI ordered the colour Medieval for my friend. From the online store, Columbia's and the online store where I ordered it from, the colour appeared to be a dark blue. This is not at all the case, it is in fact a light blue and I would describe it as baby blue and not at all what I wanted!
I ordered the medium as a gift for a friend as although she is slender built, she is wider in the hips and a medium is usually perfect. She struggled to close the zip as it fit too tight around her hips.
I ordered the Clematis Blue for myself. The colour per online store is also misleading. On the websites it appears to be a purple blue, the reality is that there is no purple hue in it.

Odd FitI typically wear a 1x-2x in shirts; however, after reading reviews I was aware that the jackets ran a bit small. I decided to order a 3x just to be sure it fit with sweatshirts underneath and was comfy. When I got the jacket (I am 5'9) the sleeves were short (which usually is a problem for me) and the overall length of the jacket was short. It looked awkward on, and although it fit everywhere else the midsection was large. I ended up sending the jacket back (free shipping to get it to me, but definitely not free to send back!) and I went to a local department store that sells Columbia jackets and bought an xl in mens that fit perfectly.

If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It-Why Did They Change the FabricI just received two of these, but the fabric is no longer the typical Polartec type of fleece. It's more of a "felt type" fabric that is a bit thinner and more flimsy than the fleece from prior years and it also wrinkles more.
I haven't washed them yet so I don't know if they will fluff up or how well they'll hold up. I'm just so disappointed that, probably in an attempt to save money, Columbia decided to change the fabric. Many other merchants do this, but I expect more from Columbia. These fit me perfectly and I love the new bright colors, but please change the fabric back to the real fleece.

Black is not blackI was buying it from a local store and all they had was a dark gray so I got it. I ordered the color "black" online so it would go with more of my clothes and it's the same dark gray. Black is not black it's dark gray. And the drawstring on the side keeps coming undone, it slides right out of place. It doesn't work. The jacket itself keeps me warm for the most part. Wind goes through it easily. But the color and drawstring issue ruin it for me. I guess I have to go to The Northface to get a black fleece. The small is quite large and other reviewers say this runs small. I wonder how big the regular small is.

Fit and Style[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Plus size 22. After ordering the 3X thinking I would want it to be able to layer, I found it a little big still. I returned it for the 2X and found THE PERFECT FIT! It will layer over some Fall wear yet not be bulky and frumpy. It fits well, is fitted enough to allow some form fitting to see that there is a woman's figure underneath, and it is the perfect length to hang below the waistline. I also found the sleeves to be the right length for my 5' 7" frame. I ordered the plum color, and it truly is a rich, darker, duskier plum color rather than a vibrant purple. I really am loving the feel of this jacket too!

Great jacketI bought this fleece after much research, and when I found a great price for it. The fit is great--I'm 5'4" and 120 pounds with about 36" bust--and a small fit me well enough I could wear a sweater under it without problem, with plenty of room for my arms. It's a tad thicker than some of my other (cheaper) fleeces, which is fine since I'm always cold. I had a tough time deciding on the color, since there were so many to choose from, but the intense violet was a great color, not quite as vivid in person as it appears on the screen, but a very pretty color. It's warm and has zipped pockets. Haven't washed it yet but it seems sturdy enough.
