The Columbia Women's Boundary Bay Jacket is a waterproof, insulated jacket to keep you warm in the rain. The seams are sealed to prevent water from seeping through even in the roughest of storms, keeping you dry anywhere from indoor-outdoor errands to a walk in shifty weather. Its rib cuffs keep warmth in while the adjustable outer cuffs and drawcord adjustable hem give you the opportunity to personalize its fit. You shouldn't have to choose between warmth and being dry, so this jacket just does both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfy coat! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m 5’10” 145# and I took the plunge and ordered a small based on all the other reviews of this coat running large. It’s a perfect fit! This is seriously the most comfortable coat I’ve ever worn! I don’t know how much I can layer underneath but seems to be thick and warm and may not need to. It comes not quite to mid thigh on me, the sleeves are the perfect length and the olive green is really pretty. Maybe people were complaining that the sleeves were too long cuz the coat was too big for them. I have bought larges b4 in Columbia because my shoulders are broad , but not in this coat. I also have no zipper problems. Great buy for me!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Even if you're tall!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with this coat! It's stylish and function. It runs true to size ( I used the size chart to pick my size, XL). I'm tall and larger chested so this has plenty of room to wear a sweater underneath if you want, the sleeves are long enough and stay down at my wrist even with full shoulder movement and it hits mid-thigh. If you're on the fence I highly recommended this coat!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems with Arm Length [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm 5' 130 lbs so I bought this coat in a small. Fell in love with the weight and material of the coat, but after trying on determined the arms were too long. I have gotten around this before on lighter weight coats by rolling the sleeves. I returned the S and purchased the XS in this style and the Hawks Prairie. Unfortunately, the sleeves in both styles were too long. I appreciate Columbia's diversity in offering plus sizes, but I so wish they made petite sizes. So bummed because both styles seemed so beautifully made and I am sure they would have served their purpose perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For many winters, I've chosen to look stylish rather than to keep warm. So I've always chosen to wear top coats rather than an actual jacket in cold weather. This jacket feels like walking around in a sleeping bag, it's comfortable and so warm without making you feel weighed down. Like another reviewer has mentioned, yes it does run a little large. But keep in mind you need to bulk up in the winter, in NY it can get as low as 17 degrees, and for me personally, I need the extra room to wear thick sweaters, vests, and a scarf. So I don't mind looking a little bulky for that reason. The long sleeves will also do great in blocking the wind from my hands, which is nice since my hands are always dry and cracking in the winter due to wind exposure. All in all, this coat is great for the brutally cold winter, but if you're looking to be a fashion statement, this coat isn't for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and breathable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Warm yet breathes! I’m yet to over-heat wearing the jacket example while driving in the car with the heat blowing and have not been cold once either in sub-zero MN temps so it’s perfect! I’m 5’4” 135lb but have long arms so this was a perfect fit for my arm situation! (I have had to buy tall coats in the past for the arms to be the right length-IKR) LOL! Got it in black and small which is what all my Columbia tops are and it fit perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Military styling, more flattering than photo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered 4 synthetic insulated Columbia coats to try, the Carson's Pass, the Breitenbush, the Hawk's Prairie, and the Boundary Bay, and kept the Boundary Bay. The only coat I ordered that I wouldn't recommend is the Breitenbush, because it lacked cuffs in the sleeves to block the wind, wasn't waterproof, and also had a scratchy neckline. All the others were good warm coats with nice practical features (thick sleeve cuffs, soft hand pockets, soft against your neck, waterproof, a fair amount of insulation, cut for mobility/arm movement, long enough length for warmth), but had different style elements. In order of most form fitting/short sleeves and shorter torso length to looser fitting/ longer sleeves and length they were : Carson's Pass, Hawks Prairie, Boundary Bay. So Carson Pass would be nice for a shorter women who wants a form fitting coat. I'm 5'9" and preferred the longer sleeve length of the hawks prairie (med. long sleeves) and boundary bay (even longer sleeves). The hawk's prairie had a dropped back tail that I wasn't sure remain in style over the long term, whereas the boundary bay reminded me of my Dad's military field coat which is a timeless style I've always loved to wear. The nostalgia of that made me keep the boundary bay, e.g, it has a feminine style that isn't bulky, but still has the comfort, function, and durability of the coat you borrow from a man who cares about you. I was also instantly complemented on the boundary bay coat the first night I wore it out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its nice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jacket runs little big.. I end up ordering small and fits well just sleeves are a little long But could work with that.. jacket over all kept me warm In the cold days. But on raining day strange how the jacket will absorb the water making the jacket wet instead of dry. On Features it does say waterproof which that's not true. only if I could post pictures I will..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this jacket! It is not only warm, it is more stylish than other cold weather jackets that tend to look frumpy. I went for the red one which is a deeper wine color than Pictured online (which was a good surprise). The length is really nice, I am 5’6’’ and it hits me mid thigh. This jacket does very well in rain as water just beads up and rolls right off. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, and just marked that it runs a little big because the sleeves are abit on the longer size.
