Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective
Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.
The waterproof, windproof and breathable technology for getting outdoors in wet and windy conditions. Your body heat escapes while rain can't come inside. Sorta magical, but mostly just science.

I’m in love![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat fits perfectly! I just love everything about this coat. It’s so warm but not bulky and I love that you can take the fur off if you want and obviously you should before you wash it. There’s a small zippered compartment in the left sleeve which is random and I can’t wait to see what I start stashing in there(probably a credit card and chapstick when shopping real quick). I don’t know if that was stated in the description but it was a surprise to me haha anyway I got the wine color and it’s the perfect burgundy red I was looking for. I’m considering purchasing in another color if I can get a deal!

size difference[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first ordered this jacket in a size 1x without realizing the jacket was available in standard sizes. I'm 5'5" and weigh about 200 lbs, the size 1x felt a little large so I exchanged it for the Xl which was $20 cheaper. Normamlly, I like the slightly large fit of the 1x, but since i planned on using this jacket for skiing, I wanted to make sure there wouldnt be any unwanted air-flow throughout it. The size XL was a little tight, especially around the groin area since this jacket is a parka and falls below the waist. One thing that really bothers me about this jacket is the little sleeve cuffs. on the 1X it was way too long, and on the XL its way too short.

Worth EVERY Penny[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Minnesota and the temperatures typically dip in the negatives digits. This jacket keeps me warm no matter what the temperature. I love that it goes up around your face and you have the ability to loosen it up so your not suffocating on your own hot breath!
I’m typically a small but I always get a medium jacket so I have enough room to wear thick sweaters. This jacket fits true to size for a medium. I recommend this jacket to anyone who lives in a tundra! It will keep you warm!!

This Parka's features are excellent[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Emerald Parka w/ the Omni Heat feature. I purchased the Dark Ivy Heather (L) for my Mom when it priced at $220.00 and I purchased for myself the Rich Wine Heather (M) when it was $159.00, now the price has been reduced yet again at $130.00. This an even better deal for this wonderful winter jacket. They are very warm in all freezing temperatures here in WV. The best feature is the lightness of this jacket. You don't feel weighed down. I simply love all the omni heat jackets . I also have the COLUMBIA
Women's Heavenly Jacket w/ omni heat. Both great jackets. Highly recommend!

Love this jacket[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket for a ski trip this year and it was perfect. No detail was spared. I am a person who does not like to be cold AT ALL and this jacket kept me very snuggly all day long with out feeling like I had heavy jacket on. The body is fairly fitted so I thought that the arms might have some restriction but I was so wrong. The arms have plenty of room for full movement while skiing.

Looking forward to winter this year!![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this parka because I've learned to trust Columbia brand products to be exceptionally well made, durable and fashionable with unmatched performance compared to the competition.
After having worn my Columbia boots with the Omni-Heat and Omni-Tech features for the past few years, when I noted these same high tech features on the Emerald Lake Parka, I was sold. I knew I'd found a parka made from breathable, water-proof fabric and materials which would keep me comfortably warm and dry in freezing and cold, damp weather.
This parka is great. Here are some of the amazing features.
--7 inch zippered front pockets which are large enough to fully extend your hands with fingers fully spread out. The left pocket features a clip.
---An inside 6 inch zippered pocket on the upper left side which will easily fit goggles, wallet or a plus sized phone in a bulky case.
--Underarm zippers on the outer side to aid ventilation when needed
--4 inch zippered pocket on the left lower sleeve which would hold keys, lip balm, cash, credit cards and such.
--11x 5-1/2 inch net pocket on the right inner side.
--There are soft fabric cuffs with thumb holes which I really like because there's nothing I hate more than scratchy zippers scraping against my cold, dry winter skin wrists.
--The sleeves are lined with the high tech materials
--The hood zips on and off and is adjustable with removable fur trim.
--The lining which would rest around your neck and upper chest is very soft. There also is an outside zipper which allows expansion of the neck.
--There is a zip off skirt with 1 inch elastic at the bottom which would help hold in reflected heat as well as an elastic draw cord on the lower hem.
Everything about this parka spells quality of both materials and workmanship. I chose the Dark Ivy Heather which is cool, rich green color tending toward emerald green.
No regrets with this purchase whatsoever.

Super Happy[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is absolutely wonderful. It's the first jacket I've had that doesn't make a plus size woman look like a puffalump. It has pockets everywhere for those who do not like to Lug purses around. It is super warm. I am totally in love with this jacket. I recommend it to everybody!

Not that warm[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this jacket, but it just wasn't warm enough. My core was somewhat warm but my arms were cold and that's just after standing outside for a few minutes. The jacket is kinda thin. Its probably more ideal for mild winters or the fall. The quality is good otherwise and it looked really nice on. I loved the comfort cuff with the thumb hole, it would keep your wrists warmer. I also purchased the Whirlibird IV interchange jacket and found it to be much warmer. I used it this past weekend when we went to an outdoor festival in with temps in the mid to high 20's and it kept me warm with a cami and sweater. Unfortunately I am returning this jacket and keeping the Whirlibird.
