Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.

Runs extremely small[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear a size medium in every piece of Columbia clothing I own. My husband purchased a Benton springs fleece, a tunic sweatshirt, and this vest all in size medium for me for christmas. I could not even close this vest and it almost fit my 10 year old daughter. It really needs to be stated very clearly on your products that the fits vary from garment to garment. My mother ended up taking the vest and purchased the short version for me since this one is sold out. However even a Large is snug. Most likely will return that one and go with another company.

Long and Light[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely a change from the stereotypical puffy vest that this replaced. It’s much less bulky than I expected, but still keeps me warm. The cut is very flattering, and the split at the back means that long striders like me can walk around town just fine without any weird bunching or riding up.
I probably wouldn’t bother taking this thing hiking or climbing, though. I would rip up the part that covers your butt way too quickly. Definitely a more urban piece of outerwear.
I’m 5’9” and 135 lbs, and the medium is perfect. Plenty of space to throw a sweatshirt or sweater underneath, and still trim enough to not look like it’s oversized.

Sizing[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When going to purchase this item, the description says runs big so purchase a size smaller. So, buy a Small even if your normal size is a Medium. DO NOT DO THIS. Stay true to your normal size. It feels tight in the chest area and armpits. I wish I would have NOT listened to the recommendation made by Columbia. Also, zipper is difficult to zip. However, it is super cute and will be nice for winter.

Absolute Heaven![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought two of the Heavenly Long Vest in black and olive green. The olive green has a very interesting color, depending on what it's paired with. The vest will have a green or it can have a mushroom color. I can wear my long sweaters or long button down shirts with these vest. These vest are well insulated. The best part is they are not puffy! I bought a large in my vest. I usually wear size 4-6. I am 5'2", 128lbs. I like room to layer my clothing. I do wish they offered these in petite or short, so the curve of the vest hit in all the right places.

More Heaven than LobsterI lost an hour of my life trying to figure out the sizing for this: I am 5’5 and 135lbs and I went with a medium (really debated the large based on reviews). I have a 36 chest (all rib cage) and a smaller frame and the medium is great for me. I can wear a sweater under it and it’s ok; with just a long sleeve shirt, roomy, but not too much.
I was also worried about the “lobster tail” of the back because I am on the petite side but it looks proportionate.
Knocking a star off for that zipper that others have mentioned too: it’s sticky and while it’s frustrating, it still works so not a dealbreaker.

Just get it! Not regrets.This vest is very flattering. The longer length, the cut in the back and high collar all make this a winner. This is my third black vest and I am done looking. I wear an 18w — flatter across stomach but wide in hips. The 1x fit perfectly.

Great fit but color[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this vest. It’s perfect for late fall or early spring out and about or on the field for kids sports but the olive color is definitely more of a poop brown than the nice olive green I often wear. Wish there was a pretty grey...with that said I will keep it because it’s really nice and I was looking for a vest to go over leggings and this fills the bill. I have this in a winter coat and love my coat...this vest is literally my coat (also a medium) just without the arms. Perfect.

Love this vest![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a functional and attractive vest. I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan where winter is serious. So far I’ve worn this vest snowshoeing twice and skiing once in the forest. I love that it keeps my body warm while leaving my arms free (and not too warm!). By pairing this with a base layer, light fleece, and lined pants I’m ready for the trails and I look great going out for cocoa after.
