Simply wonderful bootsI'm normally in between an 8 & 8.5, so I got size 8.5 and they were perfect, I could also wear two pears of thick socks and still be comfortable. I used these boots for the first time hiking up a mountain. I realized that probably wasn't the best decision because the boots had yet to be broken in, but I had no problems whatsoever. They kept my feet warm in 21° weather (& that's hard to do with my feet), kept them cool while I was hiking, and kept them dry in snow. To sum it up, I was in awe of how perfect these boots were and couldn't believe how good my feet felt after hiking, despite hiking at a constant incline for 8 hours straight.

Best Boots Ever!I rarely write reviews about products, but these boots deserve a great review! I did conservation corps, and built trails for an entire summer and wore these boots, out of the entire crew I was the only one who did not get blisters! My feet stayed dry, which is a must when camping for long periods of time! The next summer, I climbed five 14ers in CO, and they were still in pretty good condition! I just bought my second pair which is pretty good considering that I spent two summers almost continuously wearing these boots! Good socks are a must to accompany these great boots!

Could've Lasted Longer[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Last year I bought these boots because I was starting a job as an outdoor educator in the fall. The size 10 fit great and were super comfortable considering I wore them every day for work. Unfortunately, by the spring they started splitting around the toe seam where the leather meets the sole, letting water leak in. I'm a bit disappointed that they only lasted a year, but I have to wonder if I just need to order the wide variation. I also plan on getting a pair with a fabric exterior rather than the leather in case that was the reason for the splitting.

great purchase[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] bought these for my alaskan cruise haven’t gone yet but wore them around couple times in rain to break in...first of all they’re so comfortable they do not need breaking in and so far they’ve stood up to the light rain and walking through puddles on purpose with no soak through ... my husband who i think does not even notice my new stuff lol commented how great they look on me! would have given five stars for functionality but haven’t used them yet for hiking or alaskan excursions but confident these are definitely going to work great...will update on functionality on my return otherwise definitely recommend 100 percent.

Wanted to love them[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not a bad looking boot, but the trim around the laces dug into the top of my foot when I flexed while walking on flat ground, I'm sure it would be very uncomfortable hiking and didn't want to chance them getting more comfortable when broken in. I've never had that problem before. The boots were not even tight. I purposely bought a size wide for extra comfort. The quality of the boot was just OK. I wouldn't consider them real hiking boots. Not particularly supportive, and not particularly cushiony for a walking boot for me at least.

Fall/winter hiking[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item for my trip to the Great Smokey Mountains over Thanksgiving week and they were amazing! I was worried about them being comfortable at first because I received them the day before we left, my fault waiting last second, however, when I put them on they were very comfortable! The day I wore them we hiked for 7 hours and I had no problems! The quality was great, they were also for cute and went with everything I wore. They were also very warm. Overall I was very pleased with my purchase and will be recommending it to anyone who asks for a good hiking boot!

Comfortable and warm[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love hiking and finally decided to invest in some hiking shoes. These boots are very comfortable, I didn't have any issues that are described in other reviews luckily, it could be that I'm used to boots since I work in construction and wear heavier steel toe boots. And these shoes fit perfectly with a little bit of room at the toes even with thick socks on. I normally wear women's size 6 (a perfect fit for me is Converse men's size 4, equivalent to women's size 6) so I sized up to 6.5 and it fits well. They're very cute too and I'll probably buy a couple more pairs now just in case they get discontinued

Great boots[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally had a chance to test these boots and they were great. I wore them all day and several miles in mostly rock, concrete and grass. The only downside is they weren't as cushioned as I thought they would be so my knees were sore by the end of the day. I went up a size to be able to accomodate thick hiking socks and I still had plenty of toe room, which is always critical for me. They are wide enough that I will be putting a padded insole in them for future use. Not only are they a good boot, I got compliments on the look!
