Product Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT for the RAIN!!! I purchased this jacket purposely for the rain. Don't be fooled by the description "rain jacket". Wore jacket out in the rain and got totally soaked - and wasn't in the rain for very long. Paid to return jacket to be looked at, only to have it returned back to me stating that this jacket is not advertised as water-proof. My bad for paying for this pricy jacket as assuming a rain coat was a rain coat, and not truly distinguishing between water resistant and water proof and in what kind of rain it could be worn in. Can only be worn in a very light mist as it is only water resistant. Behaves more like a wind breaker than rain coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2nd One [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best, most functional coat I have ever owned. It is stylish for dress or casual. It sheds rain; easy to get on and off, the hood with a drawstring keeps my head dry in a downpour. The zippered pockets keep my cellphone and small purse nice and dry. I like that the length is long enough to cover longer sweaters and while the belt is removable it does not fall off the coat . I loved the coat; when I accidentally left it in our lobby, it was gone when I returned it was gone. There was no question, I had to order another one. The coat is light enough for layering so I find it dependable for many occasions.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very thin rain jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket after reading rave reviews on travel sites, but I was a little disappointed in it. This jacket is very thin (I could see through it when I stood in the light), and very lightweight. This jacket might be better suited to warmer climates or light showers, but I was worried it wouldn't hold up to the cold, heavy rainfall and chilly weather that I experience where I live. The sizing does allows for layering, and I liked the overall length, although the sleeves were a bit long. I thought the style was OK, and I really liked the brightness of the Raw Honey color. It just wasn't right for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Lightweight Raincoat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This raincoat was exactly what I was looking for. It is unlined, falls to mid-thigh, and has a double zipper. The snaps on the outside and the belt allow you to fasten it in different ways. The hood is generous in size and can be adjusted, the sleeves can be velcroed to fit best, and the raincoat has pockets on the inside as well as the outside. The raincoat sheds rain wonderfully and is easily cleaned of mud. I was also pleasantly surprised at how well it blocks the wind. Overall, rather satisfactory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket for myself and loved it so much that I got one for my mom as well. The jackets fit true to size and are relaxed enough in the fit that I can even wear a light sweater underneath if I want. The color is vibrant and fun to wear. The material is lightweight which is great for those days when it's hot but it's raining and I want to cover up. I'm a petite 4'11 and the length is perfect for me. It falls right below my hips so that it's not too long or too short. This jacket is professional enough for work and casual enough for play. The price is great for a jacket of this quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks nice, keeps me dry, petites can wear it, too [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For me, this is a great light-weight jacket. Besides having a nice style and not taking up much space in the closet, it keeps me dry in the rain. I'm so glad I got this jacket before the rains came! I could have gotten an extra-small, but I opted for the Small, so that I would have room to wear bulkier clothing, if I wanted. I am petite (5 feet and 1/2 inch), and though the sleeves are long, the Velcro on the cuffs make them adjustable, so I don't look like I'm wearing my big sister's jacket. I find this to be a perfect jacket for walking about in the city on a rainy or cool day.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's not waterproof, it's barely even water-resistant. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mean, it's not waterproof. I feel like all these reviews were left when it came right out of the box and not after wearing the thing. I wore it on a short, 2 mile hike and my under-layer was soaked, therefore, I was soaked. So what good is a raincoat if it does not protect you from the rain? It's water resistant, at best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for a gal with hips [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered 4 rain jackets from Columbia to find one that fits correctly, because I have hips, and it can make finding the right fit a bit difficult. I ordered both Arcadia jackets, the new Here and There trench, and this jacket. The only jacket that worked for my hips was this one, the Pardon my Trench. And it just barely worked. I do wish Columbia could design a fit for us bigger girls who aren't stick straight through the hips, so that we can have something that fits nicely around the hips without being large on the top. The jacket itself is a nice color and seems to be waterproof as advertised. I was skeptical at first because the material seemed so light, but I've worn it in the rain several times and I've stayed 100% dry. I wasn't a fan of how the belt looked, and I was super glad that it was easy to remove. I am glad to have it. If you have hips, you might want to give this one a try. Also worth nothing - Columbia was fantastic about shipping everything so fast, and also issuing my return credit quickly. Thank you!
