Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs Small Glad I listened to other reviewers - definitely runs small, particularly in the hips. I'm on the small end of the "small" category in the size guide but ordered M in this jacket because of the reviews. Even so, it barely accommodates my hips. I did manage to fit a lightweight Columbia fleece under it for layering, though. Fits fine in the chest, shoulders, and sleeves, even with my current larger breastfeeding chest. Just narrower in the hips compared to other Columbia jackets. But, same omni heat toastiness that I expect. Collar is pretty high and roomier than I expected but again fine with me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from RUNS INCREDIBLY SMALL Holy moly! This runs small. I’m a woman’s L sometimes XL (for a looser fit) and decided to just get the XL in this jacket. This jacket fits as if it were a medium. I will be returning and unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be exchanging.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Weird Fit All the reviews state that this coat runs small, some even saying 2 sizes small, but I disagree. I almost always wear a medium, so I ordered a large and an extra large. I think the large was a little big, even with a light sweater under it. I wish I could've compared to a medium. If you want to wear something heavier under it or lots of layers, you might want to size up 1 size. If it's as warm as they say it is, however, I cant imagine you'd need to layer very much. I would have ordered a medium to compare, but I didnt like the fit in general. The body of the coat was longer than I wanted, the sleeves were WAY too long (and I'd say I have average length arms), and the neckhole was too big to actually keep my neck warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Order a larger size! I’m a size 10/12, athletic build. I ordered an XL. It fits snugly. I like it but there’s no way I could wear a thick sweater underneath. The armpit holes are tight and uncomfortable. It is sized inappropriately. Feels like body shaming. If you routinely wear a 14/16 I suspect you will need to order a 2X or 3X.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish Fit Was More Forgiving My partner has the Men's Powder Lite, so I knew it was a great quality jacket going into purchasing. Like other reviews mention, the jacket runs small. The fit is snug and doesn't really allow for a lot of layering. With a single layer underneath, it fit perfectly everywhere except the bust which made it uncomfortable to wear zippered. Unfortunately, will be returning.

But don’t size up, it’s very roomy and 2X would’ve been better, no problem I’ll still wear it. Huge pockets which I Love! Warm, comfortable. If you have big chest or belly, it’s made for plus women.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice slim fit jacket! I read reviews and so many suggested sizing up. So I ordered my usual medium and a large just in case. The medium fit perfectly! Nice slim fit as it is meant to be. The large swallowed me whole. The length and sleeves of the large were almost 2 inches longer than on the medium. Definitely returning the large. For reference I am 5’6 138lbs. Smalls fit better for me in the waist but my shoulders are too broad for the smalls. I’m not one to wear lots of layers. In the medium I have enough room to wear a base layer and medium weight sweater. So I would only recommend sizing up if you plan to wear a lot more layers than that underneath it. I have not worn the jacket yet but seems like it will be warm. It’s very similar to the Heavenly. I have the Heavenly long in medium and it’s been my favorite. I also purchased the matching Hikebound rain jacket to layer over the Powder Lite in the winter. Purchased stone green in both and they are a beautiful color.
