Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy and look good This is the second pair of these I bought, this time khaki, the first time a dark gray, I took my measurements and ordered to fit, and the fit is great. I ended up wearing them for every day as well as for hiking. I wore the gray ones on long distance walks and they held up well, were cool in hot weather, and dried quickly when washed by hand. The darker ones especially look good enough to wear anywhere, not just on the trail. I haven't used the roll-up feature, but it is nice to have it available. I like the small zip pocket. It is big enough to hold a regular sized phone -- not sure about a large one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fit and Comfortable I bought these pants for my wife for Christmas (size 10 Long) She loves the fit (full hips and small waist) and said they are really comfortable. Most pants are too big in the waist if they fit the hips. I returned the first order because the 32 inseam was too short. She is 5'7' and about 150 lbs. The 34 inseam worked great even though that length is too long in other pants. One thing that was confusing on the website. Some colors were shown in size 10 Long S19 and others in 10 Long. I ordered one pair from each sizing chart due to color selection and they are identical. The term "S19" is not explained anywhere. As a husband, I used my mad "tool man" skills and took a tape measure to a local store with the pants in stock. I compared the measurements of the waist, hip, leg width, out seam and in seam measurements to a pair of my wife's pants that fit well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable! I absolutely love Columbia Saturday Trail Pants. I have ordered these in 4 colors now. They do run a bit small. I am 5'8 125 lbs and ordered a size 6 long. (I normally wear a size 4 long.) These are very lightweight and fold up nicely into a capri length. They come out of the laundry wrinkle free and ready to wear. I am packing these on an overseas trip because they are perfect as either pants or capris and don't take up a lot of luggage space. Highly recommend! Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my two favorite hiking pants I'm 5'8", 135 lbs, with an athletic build, and most of my height is in my legs. The size 8 Long fit me perfectly. As with all clothing, what works for me might not work as well for a woman with a different body shape. But I found these really comfortable and well-fitting. In terms of function, the roll-up buttons are nicely implemented, and unlike convertible zipper pants, the hardware underneath never irritated me. The pockets are serviceable. You might want more, but they were definitely adequate for me. I hate carrying any appreciable weight in my pant pockets anyway. These are lightish. They definitely felt less substantial than other hiking pants I've worn, and I consider that a very good thing. If you're like me and hike in a relatively warm and dry climate, you want thinner, more breathable nylon. If I really need warmth, I just slip on a pair of merino footless leggings underneath. They break the wind well enough. We don't see a lot of rain here, so I'm not the girl to ask about the DWR's effectiveness. I don't even remember if it is DWR-treated. In terms of appearance, they're a bit hikey, but I like them. Nylon is nylon, and it doesn't drape as well as other fabrics, and it shows wrinkles more. But these look good considering that. They don't transition as well into everyday wear as Columbia's Anytime Outdoor series, but they're good enough that you won't feel too dorky rolling off the trail and into town for a meal or supplies. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable multi season hiking pant I already owned this pant in the gray color and wanted another pair in black. It fits wonderfully and the fabric is comfortable, light and stretchy. One problem, the two colors do not run the same in size - in the gray I had a 6, in the black the 6 was way too tight and I had to order an 8 (and pay the return shipping, bummer). The other problem is that the pockets are a little small. I wish they had a zipped pocket on both legs and that the front pockets were deeper. The pants are thin, so in cooler weather I layer them over lightweight long johns. In hot weather, you can roll them up and fasten them with tabs. So far they have held up to some rigorous hiking and rock scrambling and they wash well and dry quickly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite pants! I now own these in 3 colors, because I like them so much. They are very lightweight making them great to hike in the warm months or with a base layer in the cooler weather. Since they are light and stretchy you can still move well with a base layer. The stretch makes them super comfortable and they are quick drying, so I love them for travel as well. They fit a little small. I usually wear a 4 but I am a 6 in these, but they work well for women with a butt and thighs. In most hiking pants in order to get large enough for my butt and thighs the waist is too big and I have to sew darts in to keep them from gapping at the waist, but these fit me perfectly. After a year of heavy use they started to pil a little at the thighs where they rub, but they are still totally useable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable Have worn these pants in Africa, England, Portugal, and USA on many 4 to 8 hour hikes. I have hiked up and down mountains, scrambled over large logs and climbed over boulders with these pants. They were never restrictive and flowed with any movement I attempted. I noticed some pilling after scrambling through some heavy brush but this was removed with a defuzzing shaver I have for clothing. They will snag, however, on very rough surfaces. I combat this by pulling the threads through to the inside of the pant. None of this will stop me from buying more! If these pants were a bit more abrasion resistant I would say they were perfect!. That is they only reason I gave them a "good" rating for the quality instead of excellent. I will be buying more as soon as they come out in new colors. Rated 4 out of 5 by from So happy to find these! I have not worn these yet but I am really happy with the fit and the fabric. I have been looking for some lightweight comfortable pants I can wear hiking and for travel in general. These fit the bill perfectly and... stretchy fabric and they come in a short length which is hard to find. Looking forward to a lot of good wear from these pants.
