Go-to hiking shirt for spring and fall[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I rarely wear any other shirt for hiking or other outdoor activities in the spring and fall. This shirt is perfect for backpacking too. It's lightweight, but blocks wind to some degree. It wicks sweat very well and dries SUPER fast. The sleeves are a great feature. They roll up quickly and easily, secured with a button. If the weather changes on you, you're set. This happens frequently. I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs. I have both XS and small shirts in this style. They both fit, it mostly depends on whether or not I'll have a big backpack on. I prefer more room through the torso with a full pack on my back.

Sleeves Very Snug when rolled up[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you keep the sleeves down, the shirt is a great fit, but if you roll the sleeves up, they button above the elbow and it makes the sleeve TOO tight, and I am not a muscular person. This is a great shirt, I love it, I am just not happy with the tight rolled up sleeve fit. Maybe if you make the button tab that secures the sleeve up a little longer, it will bring the sleeve below the elbow. Why have a looser fit at the waist and a tight fit above the elbow? I would only recommend this product if you do not plan to roll up your sleeves... outside of the sleeve not relaxed enough to roll up, it's a great fit!

Put it through the ringer.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this shirt on a thru-hike of the Arizona Trail last spring. Wore it every single day for a month straight. It kept me cool in the desert heat, warm in the evenings, and held up incredibly well even through bushwhacks and unmaintained trail. Got it absoluetly filthy too, and with a little elbow grease it came out still looking like new!
Continued to wear it for the rest of the summer while working in the backcountry maintaining trails and caretaking in the Whites (NH). Even on the hottest, most humid days I was perfectly comfortable. Never smelled too bad and not even a small rip after over a year and 1000+ miles of hard hiking!
Love the feel, love the loose fit (I have a few other Columbia button-ups in the same size and this one was definitely larger/looser than the others).

Misrepresented fabric and color[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Silver Ridge Lite PLAID shirts are a different and more practical fabric for more rugged activities like fishing/hiking through brush. I'll keep the shirt for more civilized outings as other Columbia shirts I have with similar fabrics snag somewhat easily.
The shirt also fits larger than the plaid model.
The photo of the garnet red shirt is also far from accurate. I looked at the photo on multiple screens but the actual color is far darker, more of the deepest, darkest cabernet. Absolutely not a brilliant garnet red.
Not worth returning because I am able to use it but I wanted a durable shirt for fishing small rivers where I have to bushwhack.

Love Everything but the Color[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this shirt for sun protection when gardening and for other activities. It's a nice breathable lightweight fabric. Fits well and is true to size although I would love it if Columbia made their shirts and inch or two longer. The only downside to this shirt is the color. It's called Blush Pink but it is more orange then pink and it is extremely bright, I feel quite conspicuous in it. I would happily buy more Columbia shirts with sun protection if they would offer colors somewhere between neutral/muted and electric!

Very comfy shirt[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shirt is very neat in appearance, fabric has micro squares that can only be seen very close up but give a nice look to the fabric. This is one of very few button-down shirts I own with sleeves long enough for me. Shirt seems to breathe well in AZ heat. Have not worn it in humid weather so can't comment on that. If you dress casually at work, this shirt would work. Looks good untucked. Love the tangerine color.

The "Lite" Version is Not the Same[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several of the Silver Ridge blouses in a plus size and love them. The Lite version of this blouse is a light, thinner fabric but it is longer and, for me, snugger in the waist. Not a good look for a plus sized woman. The Jewel color is beautiful which is why I tried this blouse but the fit was wrong. Would love some new colors in the regular Silver Ridge style.

Runs a bit small, but otherwise great shirt![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Columbia in general runs small and long, so keep that in mind. Overall, the shirt is a nice, lightweight shirt with SPF - which is why I got it. Most people aren't going to wear long sleeves in the Summer - but I have to for health reasons, so this shirt works well. Lightweight and breathable fabric - I've worn it in mid 80s and been comfortable. Once it hits 90s or 100s, anything is going to be hot.
For those who want a slightly looser, shorter fit - the Silver Ridge Lite PLAID shirts fit that bill.
