Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thinking of it? Buy it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this jacket. It is waterproof with a good hood shaped to keep the water off your face. I found it a bit overly loose through the torso (I am post menopausal and thick through the middle) but not enough to send it back. No restriction in the shoulders with motion and covers my backside well when out in the park with my dog in the rain (which is why I bought it). I bought the India Ink. It is a very nice subtle "speckled" fabric; blue-grey, not the grey that shows up on my computer screen. Not your ordinary solid color jacket. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Love this rain jacket! Not only is it great looking it meets all my requirements. Long enough in the back to cover my butt when I sit, a strong two way zipper so you can sit comfortably, a deep enough hood to cover your face, an interior zipped pocket to hold cash/credit cards/phone. I usually wear a US size 12 dress and pant (or large) and sized up to an XL so I can layer underneath it. A large would probably have fit but without the ability to layer (if I dropped the 10# I gained during covid that would not be an issue and the large would be perfect). I am 5’6” and 165#. The collar is comfortable and not in your face all the time when unzipped at the top. I would definitely buy this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to jacket! Great jacket! Perfect fit for tall people like me. I have long arms and finding coats and long sleeved shirts with long enough sleeves is HARD!!! I was thrilled when I tried this on and the sleeves were plenty long! Thank you Columbia! I love the overall fit of the coat as well. I bought a large and it is big on me, but not too big. Big enough that I can wear extra layers under it during the cold months. I normally wear a medium so I expected it to be a little big. So far I only got to wear it in the snow. The snow that melted on me rolled right off and it blocked the wind out really well. So I give it 5 stars on windproof and waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women’s Splash A Little™ II Jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very flattering style and longer than most rain jackets for added protection in rainy weather. I purchased the Red Mercury color, which is a beautiful shade of red. This jacket is a great value because it offers features seldom found in rain jackets. First, in addition to the zipper, it has snaps instead of Velcro closing. Snaps hold better and last longer. Velcro won't hold well on it's own when the zipper isn't used, and it tends to loose it's grip after a couple of washings. Second, the zipper is a two way zipper, so extra room can be given when needed for added comfort. Third, an extra pocket with a zipper is inside the jacket, which is large enough to hold most cell phones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs very small! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a handful of Columbia jackets — all size XL (thanks to a large bust and rear end). They all fit great with room to spare. This jacket in an XL is incredibly small compared to my other jackets. And it leaves about a two inch gap around my rear end that no matter how much I suck in ... it’s not going to zip. Definitely sad and I’m hoping to venture into the plus size version and hope they’re still fitted (as I have a pretty severe hourglass figure) and not a big box fit like a lot of plus size versions of clothing are. Definitely size up ... maybe two times. But the coat looks and feels wonderful. I’m just sad it’s not remotely true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Looking Longer Jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was torn between this and the Arcadia but this one has every feature I needed. Longer length. Zipper opens up or down. Inside Pocket. Feminine shape with a slight A-line bottom. This jacket has snaps over the zipper, which is much more handy than the velcro on Arcadia jacket where the velcro constantly wants to fasten and gets in the way of zipping. I usually wear L or XL but wanted to wear over bulky clothes. Also, I find that outdoor sports gear tends to be very slim in the hips I'm very happy with the 1X. Loving this rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived the Elements Boating in Maine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this jacket for a trip to Maine. I absolutely love that it’s a little longer, perfect for taller gals like me or if you just want more coverage from the elements. I wanted something that would be waterproof and windproof. This jackets ✔️‘s both! I typically wear a size Large in Columbia clothing, but purchased the X-Large. There was a little extra room for layering in a sweatshirt which I ended up needing while touring around the coast via boat. Then on our way back, it began to pour buckets on us with high winds. Happy to report that this jacket was able to protect me against the elements as well as help keep me warm. The sleeves and hood are adjustable which was key in keeping out the wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, lightweight raincoat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this raincoat for an upcoming trip to Ireland. I will say that I haven't yet worn it in the rain...that being said, I can definitely review the jacket based on fit and comfort. I am 5'4", 135 lbs. I can wear a medium but chose a large because I want extra room for a fleece under the jacket. The jacket fits nicely with a little extra room. It falls to my mid-thigh, which will be nice to keep me a little extra dry, but I can still move freely. The thing I love most about it is the lightweight material, that does not seem cheap. It packs nicely. I love the fun green color I chose also! I will update after my trip.

I am looking for a jacket that repels water; so tired of buying ones that state they are water repellent but find that I am always soaked!  Is Columbia really the coat that will do the job not only at home but on the Pacific Coast, Iceland, etc.  Thanks!

Asked by: PBurl
Hey there PBurl, thanks for the question! In my opinion, there are a few better options for water repellency; as you would expect though, more reliable means slightly higher price. I will leave links to a few options for you to check out down below, all great options from the Pacific coast to the land of ice. I hope this helps! Does this jacket gold into a small packet?   Is it an unlined shell?

Asked by: Leaf
Hi Leaf, good question! This is an uninsulated hardshell; it won't fold down into one of its own pockets, but it could be rolled down to slightly larger than a Hydroflask bottle. I hope this helps!

Is this jacket have any lining in both the main part of the jacket and in the sleeves?

Asked by: Winger
Hi Winger, good question! There is an uninsulated Taffeta lining, lining the entirety of this jacket; down the sleeves and in the hood. I hope this helps!
