Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective
Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.
Columbia Turbodown is a hybrid insulation for bringing the heat to your next cold weather activity. Found in jackets and vests, the synthetic Omni-Heat™ Thermal insulation comes together with down to warm your upper half. The one-two punch allows for a lightweight piece that keeps heat in. Not only that, the interior is lined with Omni-Heat™ Reflective, sending your own body heat right back at you at the same time.

Lightweight but warm, love the length[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great length, super lightweight but holds heat well. Yeah some feathers poke out, but that happens with anything that contains down.
Size up if you plan on sitting with the coat zipped. My short columbia coats are smalls, but I went with the medium on this long one and I'm glad I did, so when I sit it doesn't get right around my waist/butt. Might not matter too much if you drive and have heat, but makes a difference if you use public transit.
My biggest qualm is the hood. If you zip up all the way without putting the hood up, the neck isn't super well positioned. And the hood is too simple, looks like a kid's coat.

Not as bulky yet still warm.I've had a Columbia coat before and liked it. When I first got this down coat I thought it seemed thin and not as much down as the old coat. However, I gave it a try in some very cold Michigan weather (5 degrees with -10 windchill) and it was surprisingly warm. The new Omni shield seems to do the trick without the bulk I was used to. It's a stylish winter down with a great color. The only thing I can say that could be better is the hood. It's not very warm at all but then I usually wear a hat anyway. Overall a very good cold weather coat.

Not as warm as I had expected[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My main issue with this coat is that it doesn’t keep me warm and the wind passes through it. I ordered online so I couldnt feel the weight. Once it arrived, I still had hope that with the down and Omni-heat, it would be warm. It just isn’t and I didnt send it back in time so I’m stuck with it. I have other Columbia jackets and just love them- not this one! It is a lightweight coat and not meant for anything below 40-45 degrees.

Love the coat but EVERYTHING stains it[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this coat. It is super warm and lightweight, I love the fit, the hood is awesome and I really love the color. However, I've had it for 5 days and I've literally gotten 8 different stain spots on it. It seems that anything that is not water leaves an oil stain. I have been able to get some of them out using dish soap but I've had to scrub it every night I've had the coat. I'm not a messy person and haven't been eating while wearing the coat so I have no idea what is staining it. I'm super bummed because I really love the coat, but one of my pet peeves is wearing clothes with stains on them.

Would give 5 stars if the zipper was better[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this coat at the end of Jan. 2019. While I love this coat, the zipper is a bit of a problem. I thought maybe the zipper was just a little stiff and not broke in so I wanted to give it some time to loosen up and get broke in but here we are mid April and it’s still a problem. It’s gets stuck at the bottom when unzipping and it’s a struggle to get it apart. To the point where I’m afraid it’s going to break before I get it undone. It does the same when trying to get it zipped. For the amount I paid for the coat I would have thought the quality of the zipper would be a bit better. I don’t foresee the zipper lasting long on this coat which is a shame considering the price and for such beautiful, comfy, versatile coat. Other than the zipper I love everything about this coat.

Just Right[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is has all the features I was looking for in keeping me warm this winter. It is flattering while keeping me from a getting a chill.. I’ve worn it in 20 F degree weather with high winds and it did the job. The princess seams has a slimming effect both in front and back. It is lightweight and the length hits my mid thigh just right. The sleeve length is also just right and happy with no thumb holes. The only negative is the sleeve diameter, it fits me but when wearing my bulky polar watch it’s a bit of struggle to slip my arm through. The bottom has a draw cord to tighten when weather gets extreme which is a nice feature.I am happy this purchase and looking forward to colder weather. For reference I am 5 foot 3 inches and weigh 115 lbs. Small fits me well even with layers underneath.

Light weight and warm[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I was unsure of the colour (Nori) when I ordered this online, it turned out all right. I purchased this for travel because of its length, its light weight and its water resistance. However, there is no pouch that comes with it to enable me to pack it easily, unlike other branded down jackets that I own. (Columbia staff, kindly send me a pouch to pack this in, please). I do like the slightly longer length. Mine is size small and it is a somewhat big for me but I like to wear my jackets a little loose for mobility when I wear layers under them.

Not as warm as I would like it to be[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: it is long, light weight, and easily packable.
Cons: I have a parka and was hoping to have a lighter option to wear during the winter but does not keep me warm in 25 degree weather in Colorado. It is good to wear when it's between 30 and 40, though.
