Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective

Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective
Columbia Omni-Heat Reflective is a technical fabric used to regulate temperature. When you see tiny silver dots lining your outer wear, think reflection because that's just what they're there for. They reflect your very own body heat back at you, retaining the warmth you're already generating. It is also breathable, so you won't overheat at the same time as well as wicks moisture away from the body to keep you dry.

Columbia Omni-Tech

Columbia Omni-Tech
The waterproof, windproof and breathable technology for getting outdoors in wet and windy conditions. Your body heat escapes while rain can't come inside. Sorta magical, but mostly just science.

Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife Loves This Jacket! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered this for a trip to Aspen/Snowmass area for Christmas week. We had all kinds of activities including a 4-hour adventure tour on snowmobiles. I had purchased myself the Lhotse II™ Interchange Jacket, and my wife chose this one because it had similar features. She felt this jacket functioned wonderfully in every setting, it is well-made and helped keep her comfortably warm for hours, even in 9 degree weather. The omni-heat technology is wonderful. How good is it? We were visiting with friends last evening, planning their own trip to Aspen, and she recommended this jacket over any she has ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh so toasty! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m in serious love with the Wildside jacket! I was so tired of being cold and with this jacket I stay toasty warm and dry. I especially like the vents under the arms... they keep me from over heating when I go inside. And let’s talk pockets! So many pockets that I’ve stopped bringing a purse. I wear an 18, but I sized up to a 3 because I wear lots of scarves and sweaters. It is very roomy, I would imagine that a 2 would have fit fine if I wasn’t into layers. Still, I feel very cozy in my oversized coat and the color (lagoon) is beautiful!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from narrow sleeves/chest [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] once again Columbia sizing disappoints...the coat was beautiful and well made. Probably would have been warm and toasty....sadly the sleeves were so snug wearing anything heavier than a Tshirt would have been uncomfortable. The chest wasn't much better...If you are going to build plus size coats, maybe you should hire some actual plus size women to try them on first...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived a subzero ski trip! I bought this before a 3 day ski weekend that predicted a high of three degrees Fahrenheit w/ windchills of -20. I knew my current, lighter jacket wouldn’t cut it! This coat worked great and kept me as warm and dry as I hoped! All of the pockets, snow skirt, Omni-heat lining and Omni tech shell make a great deal for the price - and the blue color was a great change from my black coat that was always difficult to spot in a crowd. I usually wear a size M/8 in tops, but in this case went with the large so I could layer up underneath if needed. It was perfect. Would recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, built for being active [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am replacing a similar, but 5 yr old, Columbia ski jacket and appreciate some of the “upgrades” I got in this model. For instance, extra pockets, vents, the powder skirt (which is nice on cold days). I think you need to be generating some heat moving around to feel really warm, however. Definitely a more active coat rather than something to bundle up in if you would be standing in the cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women's Wildside jacket [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I first wore this jacket on a 40 degree day that had drizzling rain. I wore it without any other jacket layers and it was plenty warm. The rain does not soak the jacket. It seems to be wicked away from it. The hood is adjustable so you can wear it covering more of your face it you want it to. I am 5' 8" tall medium weight and the XL was the right choice for me. Plenty of room in the arms to move around. A large would have probably been too small for me. Also room to add layers if you wanted to but the jacket is warm enough without them. A great medium weight jacket to keep you warm and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly warm [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was concerned when I received my jacket and it seemed so light weight. I expected it to be similar in bulk to my previous Columbia jacket, but I see that technology has changed and winter wear has gotten more high tech. I shouldn't have worried, the jacket is surprisingly warm and a solid wind blocker. It has been great in recent below freezing weather. Predicted temps near 0 degrees are forecast for this week, but I am not concerned. It has been nice to enjoy the warmth without all the added bulk. I am also very pleased with the many pockets, both interior and exterior. The color is also great, I paired with the coordinating hat and gloves for the complete look.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality and added warmth [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Features I like: 1. Thumb holes 2. Pitzips 3. Zippers feels secure and easy to zip/unzip 4. Great quality in construction Feature I didn't like: 1. The velcros fasteners in addition to the front zipper feels a little redundant for me, several times it's caught on my other garments and caused damage to the fabric or tearing in the thread, so I'd remove them. .. If it's for additional warmth I feel a more airtight zipper would be suffice Tips: Size up if you'd prefer to layer, a little tight around the underarm area for me
