Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy, one thought Just bought this today and tested it on a long walk with the dog. It was super light and kept me quite warm for the whole jaunt. It's snowy and just under 30 degrees right now. My ONLY complaint is that I'd love an internal or external breast pocket. Very much a personal preference, but I'm very accustomed to stashing my wallet and a small flashlight there. Not sure if designers thought it would get in the way of backpack straps as a hiking jacket. But a small breast pocket would make this jacket a no brainer as my every day outerwear hiking AND tooling around town. Also, I'm on the cusp of L /XL and the XL fits great. So runs just a tad small.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Possibly defective, mediocre hood design, great otherwise. Great zipper, great colors, great feel but the fit wasn't athletic enough and too tight in the shoulders and chest, size medium with a 41" chest was too small (shouldn't be a problem for most people). Another problem was way more down leakage than there should've been for a brand new jacket, but I think mine was possibly slightly defective in the stitching. Also the hood isn't adjustable with a cinch cord so turning your head will cut off your field of vision tremendously if you want to look to the side without turning your body. Honestly just improving the hood with a cinch cord would be enough since I think the down and sizing issues were anomalies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, lightweight jacket (teen approved!) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son wanted to use Christmas money to buy this jacket and he is very happy with the product. It's lightweight and warm, but doesn't weigh him down at school all day (he doesn't use his locker). He has been eating lunch outside despite the winter weather (to avoid covid exposure in the cafeteria) and the coat is helping him brave the frigid temps. The size small fits him well. He is around 5'7" and usually wears a size small or medium shirt and size small or 30" waist pants. He loves the colors (black/spruce). We have had it around a month and have washed it once with down wash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2nd Fuego Jacket - 5/5 - will buy again in 3 more years! Just received my second Fuego jacket - bought my first 3 years ago and wore it 100+ days a year. Warmest coat I think I own. First Fuego material was a little thicker and the fit is different. I prefer the new (2019) model over the old for a few reasons - the black is almost a deep navy blue (love the color), the cinch cord at the bottom is a great improvement (but maybe a string to tie down the extra drawstring to the inside of the jacket), and the gift bundle is hard to beat :) - Things I noticed that I would have carried over - older Fuego had a more slim neck opening which was nice. Really happy with the second one and will be back in 3 more years!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fuego Hooded Down Jacket I love Cotopaxi products, however, I’m a bit disappointed in this jacket. It’s made extremely well, but the size is imo extremely small. I’m usually an XL but with Cotopaxi products running small, I went with the XXL, yet I can still barely zip the jacket up. And to make matters more ridiculous, it comes with elastic tension cords in the hips as if anyone would ever need to make this jacket more tight. I’m 6’ 3” ~230lbs so wouldn’t think I’d be maxing out the size for this company. Cotopaxi is leaving out a rather big chunk of the populace if this is their largest size. If you’re a large person, probably should go with a Patagonia—as I will in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some good things and some bad things.. Just got my jacket in the mail today and at first glance, the look is awesome (i got the sahara color) but it seems like a spring jacket. I have yet to wear it outside so I can't say whether its warm or not but everyone on here says it is! The next thing I noticed and I get this is a small detail but the seam along the zipper is a different color in the photos which I loved but thats not the case with the actual jacket! Lastly, the fit.. I am rather slim (6'2"/190lbs) and the medium fits great everywhere except the hips its definitely a little short and tight. I know if I got the large it would be huge in the arms and chest.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice coat, not as warm as expected Based on some reviews I read on the Cotopaxi site and how the coat is advertised, I expected it to be warmer. I live in Salt Lake City, and temperatures have been in the 30s lately. I wear a t-shirt and a long sleeve shirt under the coat, but I will get cold after not too long. (My wife has the same coat for women, and says the same.) So that was a bit disappointing. I also don't like that you can't put the hood on and off when the coat is all the way zipped up. But the coat does look nice and feel nice, so I'll still keep it. But once temperatures get down below 30, I'll have to layer up more or wear my bigger winter coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love my jacket overall... First, I love your company and what you're doing and our kid loves their jacket which is a puffier down, and our whole family loves your face masks! I had expected my jacket to be a little warmer but layering with wool and alpaca, it's fine (our lows are average 10-20 F all winter and highs from 25-40). I also got two small tears in the sleeve the very first day I got it, it snagged on a piece of metal on our trailer when I brushed by. I had hoped the material would have been more durable. I used a little tent patch material and not sure if it's worth sending back for a repair but in any case I'm enjoying the jacket.
