Looks amazing, fits perfectly! This is my first Cotopaxi product, the Fuego Down Vest. I absolutely LOVE it. I got it as a gift for Christmas, but it was a little big on me—the Cotopaxi team was super helpful and accommodating in helping me exchange it. It was a size M, I usually am somewhere between a S and a M, the M was just a little looser than I wanted it to be. (I’m tall and skinny: 5’11”, 160lbs) The S fits snugly, not too short, feels almost like a nicely tailored “slim fit medium.” Put it on over my fav sweater for a chilly midwinter round of golf and shot my best score ever. I credit the Cotopaxi vest! :) Thanks for a well designed quality product, and awesome customer service!

I'm a Vest Convert NowI'd never had a vest before, and it's seems to be an oft debated topic on the internet if vests are really worth having for active outdoor pursuits. This was on sale for a price too good to pass up so I bought it and tried it. I really like it. I paired this with a long sleeve Capilene base layer and some lighter weight winter gloves doing some moderate to strenuous hiking in roughly 45 degree weather. It worked well. My arms seemed to act like heat-sinks while this kept my core warm without overheating.
Some reviews mention the sizing being way off on these, but I have to disagree. I'm 6'3" tall with broad shoulders and a long torso. I weigh around 228 lbs and the XL fit me perfectly.

Awesome quality, but it was too bigReally, really likes the best overall. But it was too big so I had to return it. I did however, purchase a fleece one it it’s place and that turned out to be amazing (perfect size- a L).

Fuego Down Vest - Men’s (review)Comfortable and keeps the core warm. I took it up to Mammoth Mountain for snowboarding on opening weekend as my second layer (first layer was the Monte Hybrid Jacket in the matching Bronze/Maritime colors) and kept me very warm and not too heavy with the outer jacket I had on. Plus I’ve been getting a lot of comments on the colors and where I got it (free advertising, you’re welcome!)
Been pairing it with long sleeves/hoodies for that extra bit of core warmth. Awesome jacket, medium fits me well as I’m a 38R on the shoulders. One of my best purchases for outdoor wear in a long time.

The perfect down vest![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love Cotopaxi as a company, and love their products. The Fuego vest is perfect - great looking colors, a touch retro and a touch modern, comfortable, warm and lot of useful pockets. SoCal weather never gets that cold, and this has become a wardrobe staple (I own 2!). The newer versions are cut slightly different and a little larger around the mid-section, so slimmer folks may want to consider ordering a size down.

Fuego Vest is mostly satisfyingI was pleased to discover that the vest is somewhat trim-fitting but also on the long side. However, even with the lower cinch completely loosened, it's tight around my waist and hips. Fine for standing, but tough for sitting. For example, I can't comfortably fit my phone in the pocket when sitting in the car if the vest is zipped. Might just be my body shape, but my guess is many would have this issue. (I'm 6'1" and weigh 225 lb.) Also would prefer a small zip pocket on the outer chest. Overall though, warm and well-made from a minimalist perspective.

Sizing strangeI purchased the fuego vest for my son in a M as that is what he wears in all shirts and coats as well as T shirts. Even though it was a Christmas gift, I had him try it on because of the 30 day return policy (which should be extended during holiday time). The vest was tight and restrictive, so I returned it and ordered a large which fits like an extra large and not the look he wanted at all.. It is hard to understand your sizing and it is definitely disappointing as he wanted a fitted look and the M should have been fine.

not made for athletic peoplebought the coat and the vest because i like the style and colors, size L (I’m 6’ 2” about 180) and wear large with every other mfg... medium is always too short in the arms. Granted that wouldn’t be an issue with the vest but I got L anyway to be consistent with the jacket. Both the jacket and the vest had enough extra material in the mid section my wife could pull 4” out the back before it looked normal. I guess the design is not what you’d call “athletic” or “slim”, for comparison just bought a different puffy (same class) and their standard fit size L is perfect around my mid. I have this problem with gonia by the way so it’s not just cotopaxi. Guess they’re catering more to the typical US body type, just wish it stated that they’re baggier than most standard fits.

HOW to MEASURE
CHEST: With the tape measure parallel to the floor, measure the circumference around the fullest part of your chest.
WAIST: With the tape measure parallel to the floor, measure the full circumference of your natural waist (at the crease when you bend to one side).
HIPS: With the tape measure parallel to the ground, measure the circumference of the fullest part of your hips (usually around the top of your thighs, where they connect to your torso).
SLEEVES: Starting at the base of your neck, measure along your shoulder, then down to the wrist. Your elbow should be slightly bent.
INSEAM: Holding the tape measure vertically, measure straight down from your crotch to the floor. Take this measurement without shoes on.
TIPS • Use a flexible tape measure. If possible, have someone help you take measurements. • Wear something light and close-fitting - like leggings and a t-shirt - so your clothes don't add to the measurements. • Don't wear anything thick or heavy, like jeans or a jacket. • Stand up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart.
