Did not wash wellI loved this jacket. Fit perfectly, super comfortable, super warm, wind resistant, light weight... everything I want in a jacket. However, after a trip to Chicago it desperately needed a real wash, not just a wipe down. I followed the instructions on the tag exactly, which required driving to my parents house to use their front loading washing machine, and buying a special detergent. The down all shifted after washing, and not only was lumpy, but no longer insulating. Luckily I was allowed to return it, and honestly loved it so much I'm considering buying another one, but I just can't justify the cost when it's something I can't wash.

This jacket is SOOOOO cute and functional! Get it!I was blown away by the beauty of the colors when I opened this package, it’s even more gorgeous in person! The top part is the lovely deep brown/red color, the stripe across is a gorgeous lavender that is also the same lavender on the entire inside! Then the bottom is not too bright of an orange like the picture, it’s more of a rust orange. Just so pretty, and it’s functional! I had it on in freezing weather yesterday and it performs just like my technical mountain hardwear and Patagonia down jackets, maybe even better, kept me very warm! I got a size small and I’m 5’5” 133lb and 28” hip 32B chest, perfect for a sweater and long sleeve shirt underneath. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! And Cotopaxi is a company going great things.

great coatI love the colors of this coat, and it's coziness! It's perfect for sunny cold days.
The only things I can point out though, which lower the score, is that I lose feathers at a seemingly fast rate. So much that I feel I will likely need to but a new coat again next year.
It also isn't really water resistant, it soaks in water pretty well.
This is just a suggestion too, but why do you not make larger sizes? These coats would be too short for anyone over 5'5, and they are not designed for women with larger chests. The do run a tad on the small side as well.

Soooo cozy[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how this jacket felt to put on. Very soft and... snuggly? Much nicer than my usual arc'teryxes. I'd read reviews about sizing being weird, but this didn't hold true for me. I'm a solid medium in almost every brand but Patagonia (too big) and this fit was no exception. Flattering fit & very true to size. For me, anyway :)
Only disappointment: I was hoping for a white jacket but the color is ecru, not white. Still cute, just darker than hoped.

Love Jacket - Size is TrickyMy family loves Cotopaxi. Important to note there was a size redesign between 2021 and 2022. The 2022 Medium Fuego women is very comfortable on top but like so many other reviews say, the bottom is very tight. Almost disproportionate to rest of jacket. If you are planning on sweaters or sweatshirt underneath order a Size up. If you are planning on thin layer underneath and Medium is your usual size, you will be ok for most part but the bottom hip area could be annoying. It truly needs to be an inch wider. I find it disappointing. I hope with all the feedback on this from Women, something is changed. I can’t order a large as it is huge on me. The 2021 Large was not as big. 2022 is much different. However the Fuego is a beautiful jacket. Quite a few in our family. Fuego vests and jackets.

Gorgeous color and solid fitI was drawn to Cotopaxi by their unique color combo (especially the retro line) I won’t lie! The lavender color stripe on the combo I got is even better in person. But the fit, quality and warmth has to be there, too. I just got it, and so far, so good. I do wish the “women’s” sizes were more extensive and the length a bit longer but the XXL fits well (fitted but not snug) hits right at my hips. Won’t be able to layer but I knew that and this isn’t my only winter coat so I don’t need it to do everything. For reference: I’m 5’5”, 38F bust, and ~230 lbs.
*FWIW, I also tried the “men’s” XXL in the hooded Fuego jacket and it was too big in the sleeves and body (though the measurements were slightly bigger than womens XXL) so sent back for an XL. But, a great option if you “size out” of the women’s sizes!

Love it.I am shaped like a 12 year old boy and usually but men’s stuff because I look goofy in the hourglass-women’s cut. This jacket it much straighter And less tapered than others (such as Patagonia).
Only downside is the armpits are a little tight. I have muscular shoulders/arms and the arm holes are a little tight, but it’s worth it (not a deal breaker). If you have normal/small shoulders u shouldn’t haVe this problem.
Super stoked

Unexpectedly Soft[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really love this jacket. It is very lightweight and packable but kept me warm in about 40 and windy. It’s also very pleasantly soft! My hands feel like they’re in little silk cocoons when they’re in the pockets. I am about 5’11” and I always wear a medium in tops and jackets. The medium fits great and the length is long enough. Only complaint is that the pits are a little tight.
