Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did not wash well I loved this jacket. Fit perfectly, super comfortable, super warm, wind resistant, light weight... everything I want in a jacket. However, after a trip to Chicago it desperately needed a real wash, not just a wipe down. I followed the instructions on the tag exactly, which required driving to my parents house to use their front loading washing machine, and buying a special detergent. The down all shifted after washing, and not only was lumpy, but no longer insulating. Luckily I was allowed to return it, and honestly loved it so much I'm considering buying another one, but I just can't justify the cost when it's something I can't wash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great coat I love the colors of this coat, and it's coziness! It's perfect for sunny cold days. The only things I can point out though, which lower the score, is that I lose feathers at a seemingly fast rate. So much that I feel I will likely need to but a new coat again next year. It also isn't really water resistant, it soaks in water pretty well. This is just a suggestion too, but why do you not make larger sizes? These coats would be too short for anyone over 5'5, and they are not designed for women with larger chests. The do run a tad on the small side as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soooo cozy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how this jacket felt to put on. Very soft and... snuggly? Much nicer than my usual arc'teryxes. I'd read reviews about sizing being weird, but this didn't hold true for me. I'm a solid medium in almost every brand but Patagonia (too big) and this fit was no exception. Flattering fit & very true to size. For me, anyway :) Only disappointment: I was hoping for a white jacket but the color is ecru, not white. Still cute, just darker than hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. I am shaped like a 12 year old boy and usually but men’s stuff because I look goofy in the hourglass-women’s cut. This jacket it much straighter And less tapered than others (such as Patagonia). Only downside is the armpits are a little tight. I have muscular shoulders/arms and the arm holes are a little tight, but it’s worth it (not a deal breaker). If you have normal/small shoulders u shouldn’t haVe this problem. Super stoked

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpectedly Soft [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really love this jacket. It is very lightweight and packable but kept me warm in about 40 and windy. It’s also very pleasantly soft! My hands feel like they’re in little silk cocoons when they’re in the pockets. I am about 5’11” and I always wear a medium in tops and jackets. The medium fits great and the length is long enough. Only complaint is that the pits are a little tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kool Design! I searched for days on line to find a slightly vintage feel design and this fits the bill! Have received numerous compliments and I love how it keeps me warm on early morning walks. I’m 5’6/142lbs and I ordered the large since I have broad shoulders and like to layer up if needed. The only flaw and it’s small, is that I can see either dark threads or feathers under the beige in certain areas. Overall, super happy!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lived up to expectations [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So it’s a more expensive jacket but it’s also high quality. Stops the wind. Honestly it’s almost too warm for fall days. I also liked that the company operates in an ethical way with their factories and their employees. It was easier to spend a little more for a higher quality product from a company that seems to care about how it does business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Surprise! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my wife as a little surprise before our upcoming Yosemite trip and when it arrived she would not open it because she thought it was something “sexy” and she didn’t want to open it in front of our guest we’re having. I said well it is sexy but you can open it. She loves the jacket and hopefully I can add a photo later.
