Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good light weight walking shoes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Caprine shoe feels really light in weight for a quarter top shoe and I like that, I was expecting a heavy boot but it's deffinatley. They seem to really form to the foot nicely extremely comfortable. I don't see these as hiking shoes but deffinatley something you could take on a long walk or just casual wearing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This shoe is exceptional and This shoe is exceptional and has so much potential, “BUT” it’s “not” there just yet. Very nice looking, well made, casual, recreational and versatile, lending itself to many different uses. That said, it is not true to size, it’s clumsy and a 10.5 M feels more like an 11 EE. Further, the shoe does not snug up on the foot bc it fits large, and inside the heel there is no concave heel cup, to keep the back of your foot in place and eliminate internal slippage of the heel wanting to rise up, feeling like your foot is going to slip right out. The Caprine will be a really nice option at some point, but it definitely needs further tweaking until such time as “its arrived”!!! Would definitely re-purchase this shoe if the required improvements were implemented, for the time being I’m going without a Caprine in my lineup whatsoever.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am a Shoe Fanatic and These Shoes Rock I love comfortable shoes and I am always shopping for that perfect shoe. After recently purchasing KURU, UGGS, and my new Caprie Danners. Danner wins again. Not to take away anything from the others they were comfortable, but my overall likes are with Danner for style, comfort, and quality. Why do I bother wearing anything else when Danner has been my go too for over 30 years?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Danner has made a great Danner has made a great walking and daily wear shoe. It’s not really a tennis shoe and is not a hiking boot. It’s the perfect combination of both. This shoe is comfortable no matter when or where I wear them. These look good and I get compliments frequently. I highly recommend these shoes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unfortunately, I had to return Unfortunately, I had to return this pair also due to lack of stability from lateral movement in the heel area of the shoe. I found it to be a great looking shoe, and I liked the light weight style. I just wish the heel area of the upper offered more support to limit lateral movement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A well made shoe, looks A well made shoe, looks nice but the nubuck tongue is a bit floppy and uncooperative and the knit, although durable and abrasion resistant, is a bit coarse and less flexible so it makes for an open collar feel around the ankle. Not as snug fit as I usually like in a runner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite shoes ever. First My favorite shoes ever. First time I have found a comfortable shoe that doesn't break down at the ankle before the shoe sole wears out. This is the most practical and comfortable solution to the problem. Oh yeah, they look good too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ordered the “correct size” but Ordered the “correct size” but it fit a half size larger despite using the Danner’s find your fit quiz. The color wasn’t as bright as the photo showed. The feel for it despite being bigger than intended was pretty solid.

Danner builds boots for their intended use. You'll find that our styles fit differently depending on how they should perform in the field.

-Right out of the box your hiking boots should feel somewhat snug on the sides of your feet (you aren't sliding side-to-side) with a little room at the toes (you don't want your toes to touch the tip of the boot just standing on flat ground).

-Make sure when you walk your heel doesn't slide up the back of the boot substantially.

-Make sure that you aren't feeling any pinching or pain while walking around your house. If you feel pinching at your big or little toe you probably need a wider boot or perhaps a larger size.

-Your work boots should match the anatomical make-up of your foot, widening slightly in the toe-box for a secure platform to stand on.

-Right out of the box you should feel comfort, cushion and support underfoot, for long days on your feet.

-You may feel that they're slightly stiff or snug right out of the box, but after a few weeks of break-in they should move easier at the flex points and conform to your foot, fitting like a glove.
